When we finished our meal that Cole had packed for us, I noticed something shining on the stem of one of the roses a couple feet away. with a confused look on my face I walked over to the particular rose and picked it up. Cole took the flower from behind me before I had a chance to see what was on it and he took me over to the ocean. Our feet were right where the burning sand met the ice cold water. I looked down at the rose in his hand, and couldn't find whatever was sparkling in the distance. Coles free hand pressed against my neck and directed my eyes toward his. "I love you Kodie. I can't stop thinking about you, your the only thing that keeps me alive most days. From that moment on the bus in 7th grade, the first time I saw you, your hair was combed out perfectly, but you didn't seem to notice, you were biting your lip and your big brown eyes lured me closer to you. I love everything about you. The way you hold me tight when you are nervous, and the way you kissed me that summer night on my roof. I loved how worried you looked when I came to your house at midnight crying and you took me in. I can't imagine my life without you. I want to be with you forever. I know we are young but please never let me go." This is the first time Cole had ever told me that he loved me, or that he had ever been this serious about our relationship. I didn't realize before, but I was crying. "I love you too Cole, I will never let you go." That's all I managed to get out before he kissed me. It seemed to go on for centuries, but it ended a second too quick. "Promise?" he asked. I had forgotten about what was on the rose until he slid a ring onto my finger. "Promise." I replied.
