Chapter 27: Double the Death

Amber's POV

I held a finger to my lips as Flame went to speak. She pressed her lips together. We all exchanged nervous glances. I held onto my backpack firmly. Knife, check. Distractions, check. Only one person going out?

Uncheck.

Because tonight was double eviction.

I tried to stay affable as I sat down. Seto sat down next to me. I wanted to cry. Everyone did. My breath was shaky as crap.

"Welcome everyone to double eviction night! This is gonna be fun."

Tiffany and Jessica snickered from the back. At least they were happy.

"Two people could be eliminated from Team Huron. Two people from Team Erie could be eliminated. Or one from each team."

Victoria's eyes locked with mine for a good time before she moved on."After this, we can all get some rest."

"There ain't no rest for the wicked, until you close your eyes for good!"Saph yelled, pulling a gun out of her coat.

I screamed. We all did. First of all, where'd she get the gun? Why didn't she just shoot her at the meeting? Did she have it the whole time?

And why the crap is Vicky smiling?

"Don't you remember?"Victoria disappeared for a second before reappearing behind Saph with a knife against her throat."I killed so many. Another step and you'll be one to add to my name."

"Vic. Don't!"Jason said.

Seto stood in front of me.

"Jason, don't..."Saph said slowly."You'd be insane to try to save me."

My eyes filled with fear. The image of the deaths in the mansion came back to me. I couldn't bare to watch another person die before me. My fingers rolled into a ball. Saph reached out.

And then fell to the ground. Blood spilled from her neck. I screamed, falling backwards. Flame caught me, her eyes unbelieving. Jenny gasped loudly. Addie starred wide-eyed. Enti closed her eyes. Holly and Jay snarled, but deep inside I knew they was crying.

"She was going to be evicted anyways,"Tiffany laughed.

"And by owners of this island, we make the calls. Even when you voted, it was a waste of time,"Jessica said, kicking Saph's head.

"So why don't we make the call now?"Tiffany laughed.

"You guys are monsters!"Dan yelled.

"You know..."Tiffany whispered, circling us."There's a person in this cast that hasn't been perfect to every camper."

"What's her name?"Jessica asked, her eyes wild.

"Oh...I think it's...hmm...Jay."

Jay's eyes went bloodshot."I-I don't treat people badly!"

"Your happy that people die,"Jessica said.

"But sad when you die,"Tiffany snarled.

"I refuse."

Victoria snatched the gun from Saph's motionless hand. Jay took a step back. Vic pulled the trigger. Jay fell to the ground, blood spilling out of her chest. We stared, not moving.

"Worse that being an insane,"Victoria whispered and disappeared.
