Chapter 7⃣: SQUIRREL

"Meyyyeeeeeehhhhh!"Ian screamed, jumping up from the table next to us."SQUIRREL!"
"What the-"
"Not the squirrel!"Ian screamed."NOT THE SQUIRREL!"
I raised an eyebrow at Holly. She shrugged and got up from the table. She ran after Ian who was running back to the dorms. Silence settled over our small group.
"Well, that was something,"Tiffany muttered.
I laughed."Flame, did you know-"
Flame shook her head and looked up at the tree that the squirrel had supposedly ran down from."Must've been something from before..."
"Before?"Dan said."You mean..."
Flame nodded and got up. She began walking back to the dorms. I sighed and put my head in my hands. All of these things were happening too fast.
"This is stupid,"I said."We shouldn't have agreed."
Addie wrapped an arm around me."It's fine. Just...he's probably over-reacting. We know that he had problems before."
"And I have problems now."
I stood up and walked to the lake. A helicopter flew over my head, probably going to pick Sakura up. The thought of loosing someone brought despair to my heart. To go somewhere we've never seen. To go somewhere we've never been. To go somewhere-
"Hey."
"Seto, I thought-"
"I'll manage."
I sighed and looked at the bandage that ran around his shirtless stomach.
"A cleaver, eh?"
"That's what I thought. It happened too fast."
I nodded and looked across the water.
"Well,"Seto placed something on my lap,"I found this."
I looked down and screamed. A dead squirrel. Both it's eyes were missing. There was a cut running down its stomach that had dry blood all over it. Massacre.
"How the-"
Without thinking, I threw the squirrel into the water. It hit with a splash.
"What was that for?"Seto asked, sounding a bit offended.
"My..."I went silent.
He hugged me.

I sat down on my bed. It had been painted with designs of diamond's (me) and basketballs (Enti.) Freshly painted by Jenny. There wasn't much for the artist inside of her to much, so the least she could do was design.
"Are you scared too?"
I looked up."Jessica. I wouldn't think you would be scared. Your whole life revolves around risk."
"And this place it risky,"her eyes dart around."When the chopper came, it looked like secret agents took her."
"No duh. We seemed like precious cargo to Admin."
I but my lip."And...never mind. Anyways, yeah. I'm terrified. What poison could've been in that food."
She looked out the window at the crescent moon that began to rise."Get some sleep. I think we'll need it."
I climbed into bed, not even thinking about changing. I closed my eyes and fell contently asleep.
