Chapter 17: Is that Athena?

"Okay! I was afraid someone ran off; that would've been bad!"Admin laughed, but emotionless faces were spread throughout the crowd.

"Well, get it over with,"Holly growled.

Admin smiled like a child."Jenny."

"Jason."

"Holly."

"Andrew."

"Seto."

"Addie."

"Jordan."

"And it comes down to Amber and Adam."

Slowly my hand was shoved down my throat as I bit my fingernails. I closed my eyes, praying that nothing was going to happen to me. It's a bit selfish, but who knew what was over there?

"Amber. Sorry Adam. But the outburst and not really a story doesn't cut it. Plus it scared the bejeezles outta me."

Jenny narrowed his eyes."You can't send him over there! That- He'll die!"

"I'm sure that Sakura and Ty will help him!"Admin chuckled, looking like she was going...insane.

I walked along the fence by myself. A lantern was in my hand. Fireflies glowed throughout the forest, which sort of comforted me. Sounds of crickets and cicadas were faint, almost as if they had fled from a terrifying sight.

A tear rolled down my cheek."When will this stop..."

There was a sound from the other side of the fence. My head snapped towards it. I could make out a silhouette between the trees. It slowly walked towards me. Part of me told me to run, but another said stay.

The person fell to the ground, but kept trying to get to me. As it crawled closer, sadness blanketed over me. My hand grabbed the cold metal.

"Athena?"I whispered, as the zombie-like creature crawled closer.

"Can you hear me?"

There was no answer.

Tears of sad hope formed around my eyes. When suddenly it hit me.

"That's not Athena at all! That's Sakura!"I screamed, falling to the ground.

I slowly turned around and ran, screaming for anyone.

Because the Plague really is real.

And we've all got it.
