I opened my eyes to the wonderful sight of a pure sunshine and a lovely breeze that's coming from my open window. My mom called me downstairs for breakfast not even two minutes ago and she's already bitching. I just want to yell "MOM, I'M 17 YEARS OLD. I CAN FEND FOR MYSELF," but I won't because then it would produce an even bigger problem, so I just roll out of bed. I look at my phone and Jim texted me three times since last night.
Jim Harold, that was his name. I knew his name by heart before he even began to glance over at me from across the AP science room. He was one of those sporty, yet cute, boys who never really paid any attention to girls or anyone really besides their teammates. He played football, basketball, and baseball, which meant that he was always with his team, no matter what. He saw me for the first time two years ago after his last baseball playoff game of the season. I just so happened to be on the girl's softball team, and I just so happened to start in right field every game. So, him and the rest of his teammates came over to watch us girls play.
Like Jim, all of my closest friends were on my softball team as well. The closest, Anna and Laura.
I had other friends too, obviously. I just wanted to let you in on some major people that played a huge role in my life.
I trudged my way to the bathroom and glanced in the mirror. I smoothed my hair and brushed my teeth. "This is going to be a long day," only I didn't know how long of a day it really would be.
