The Awakening of Otari

Chapter 1

           "This land was once covered with water, but as time progressed the water drew back and gave the land to the trees and animals, so they could bring forth a great treasure to the gods for their survival, and as more and more time passed the gods were pleased and they came together and created a creature. Each god had a different ability and belief, but each god got along because they shared their power equal among themselves, with each god's power and ability they brought forth a creature that would protect the planet during its time, Each god gave this creature the power to wield their abilities for the sake of protecting the planet, then all together the gods brought the creature to life and gave it the name, Zorie. After the gods brought Zorie to life, they created many others like him but the gods didn't give their abilities to any others besides Zorie." stated the teacher as she paced the front of the room and occasionally change slides. 

          "Hundreds of years later these creatures created a civilization, a home where they as a clan, came together and kept the planet safe together, the Gods were so pleased with Zorie and his people that they came to him in a dream, giving him a token of gratitude and granting Zories people with few powers to help in the fight to keep the planet safe, The God's also told him to choose one of his people, that he wanted to lead beside him." explained the teacher of class A, as she clicked a button and the image on the screen changed and her mouth moved again beginning to continue the story.

          "Zorie told his people about how the gods visited him in his dreams and brought a token of gratitude that Zorie happily showed his people, but what he didn't tell them was that he was going to choose one of them to lead beside him, one to be his and his on-...." The teacher stopped speaking mid-sentence and stood in front of the class while staring at the back of the classroom, staring right at me as I tensed up and locked eyes with her. 

          "You're not in Class A! What are you doing back in here!?" yelled the teacher as she walked towards the back of the room where I was hiding behind some students, I had been listening in for quite some time but I was always caught.

          I stood up and dashed out the classroom doors and down the hall running past some other teachers who yelled at me as I passed them, I skidded across the tile floor as I turned a corner and ran out of the school, dashing across the street  and into an alleyway, I jogged to a stop and breathed heavily while placing my hands above my head to breath better, my chest raised up and down and once my breath was back, I pulled my hood over my head and walked out of the alleyway, into the busy street. 

          "Why do I always get caught by her, it's like she has eyes in the back of her head or something" I muttered as I walked into the market area of the town where it was most crowded and busiest during this time of day, I walked with my head down blocking out all the sounds around me but then I bumped into something hard, I whined in pain as the people around me grew silent and I didn't realize it till now, I slowly looked up and stared at a guard from the royal district who was glaring down at me. I gulped and took a step back still keeping my eyes locked onto his, I ran into the same guard the other day after he caught me running out of the school and into the town, and so he probably thinks I caused some sort of mischief, I glanced around and saw more guards starting to surround me, I mentally sighed heavily as I prepared myself to make a run for it. 

          "You've caused some troubled kid, haven't you?" growled the royal guard as he stepped towards me, I grabbed my hood and jumped into the air just as the guards all jumped towards the spot where I was. I landed on one of the guards back and pushed off him, rolling on the ground on impact, I got up and dashed off with the guards getting up and running after me, I zig-zagged my way through the crowd of people and turned down an alleyway that led to the park, I ran through the parks gates towards the huge willow tree an dashing as fast as I could to it but as I drew near a bunch of solid objects came flying down from the tree and hit me while loud yelling came from the tree and as I skidded past the tree, one of the objects hit one of my feet at an intense speed and caused me to fall.

           I hit the ground and rolled a few feet landing in a pond which was known to be the deepest pond in the land, I sank down a few feet before I opened my eyes and yelled in pain as I moved my foot that had been hit with the object I figured was a rock, air bubbles escaped from my mouth as I yelled in pain and choked on the water filling my mouth, I looked up towards the surface of the water watching the air bubbles rise to the surface, I struggled to swim to the surface as I sank further down into the pond as I desperately kicked my one good foot hoping to make it to the surface, I breath out another bunch of air bubbles and I stared up at the water's surface that was getting farther and farther away, my eyes started to closes and my body was cold, I took one last glance at the surface seeing something jump into the water and swimming towards me before I choked out air again and my eyes shut. 

          I layed beside the Realms willow tree, the sun was shining down through the willows branches and its leaves casting cool shadows across the grassy field that layed in, all directions were grassy fields as far as the eye could see, I heard footsteps walking towards me and I sat up and turned to the side to see a person walking towards me and as they drew near I recognize who it was.

          "Max?" I called out "Is that really you?" I added.

          "It's been a while since I've seen you, Ollie, you've grown quite a lot" called out Max as he took his hood off revealing his face that carried a smile. I ran towards Max and hugged him as he bent down and hugged me back.

          "I've missed having you around here Ollie, but you must return back you know" said Max as he ruffled up my hair. 

          "but!" I exclaimed as I looked up at him.

          "no but's, you have to go back, but before you leave I'll give you a Lil something that will help you out in the long run" explained Max as he held up one of his hands to the sky and made a small fireball then clenched his hand and looked at me.

         "alright here hold out your hand" stated Max, I put my hand out and watched as max placed his hand on my hand and I felt something drop into it and a small burning sensation go throughout my body once Max's hand was on top of mine. 

          "Now it's time to head back Ollie" stated Max as he stood up and waved to me as I walked back to the willow tree and waved back as the world went to darkness again once I placed my hand upon the willow trees bark.
