The Awakening of Otari

Chapter 5

           "Now that everyone here, let's begin" stated Miss Anne as the food was passed around and I just stared and watched everyone fill their plates up with the food "aren't you hungry?" asked Mrs. Anne as she gave me a concerned look and I looked down at my empty plate and shook my head "no...I'm just tired right now" I lied as Mrs. Anne nodded after giving me a questioning gaze before she let me go back to my room and I shut the door and curled up under the blanket, I took off my cloak and let it drop to the floor before I got into bed, I was half asleep when I jolted awake as the door opened again and I look over at the door and saw it was the older boy again, he held two plates of food and kicked the door shut before walking over and sitting down on the bed and getting comfortable "you can't ignore your hunger, eat" sighed the boy as he handed me a plate filled with food and I hesitantly took the plate from him as he began eating his food. "A-are you sure I can eat this?" I asked as I glanced at the boy who nodded and motioned for me to eat the food, I didn't hesitate any more and I started shoveling the food into my mouth, my gasp of awe where muffled by the food as I chewed it up and swallowed it. My tail happily swayed behind me and my ears were perked up "you kinda look like king Zorie in a way" started the boy as I glanced up at him with a confused stare while I was eating but ignored his statement as I ate more of the food until it was all gone. I leaned over and set the plate on the floor and leaned back on the bed, the boy had finished his food awhile ago and just watched me eat with amusement in his eyes "so... mysterious kid, have a name?" Asked the boy as my ears twitched "didn't that man tell you about me before you guys got here?" I asked already knowing he knew my name since Mrs. Anne did say my name earlier "well he said two names, but I want to know which one you like being called" stated the boy as I sat up and tilted my head "what'd he say?" I asked, "Well the first name being Ollie, and the second being Otari." Stated the boy as I flinched at the second name "Ollie...call me Ollie" I said almost instantly after he had spoken the name Otari, the boy gave me a confused look but just shook his head "I'm Aoba" stated the boy "and my father is Lord Hitachi" added Aoba as I sighed and got off the bed and picked up the plate while limping to the door "We might as well go join the others, You guys didn't come here just for breakfast I'm sure" I stared as Aoba climbed off the bed and followed me down the hall and back into the kitchen where Mrs. Anne, Lord Hitachi, and the Royal guard stood in the middle of the kitchen quietly talking but stopped and turned to gaze at us as we entered. "Father I'll be heading to school now" stated Aoba as he strode from the kitchen and a second later was out the door, I turned back around and glanced at the three adults in the kitchen "there's something you want to ask isn't there, go ahead... I'll answer what I can" I stated as I limped to my new favorite chair in the kitchen and sat down as did the three adults "What do you remember?" Asked lord Hitachi as I shut my eyes and thought back to when I first woke up in this strange land "It's a blur... but I woke up at the Willow tree, it was dark, and cold with white stuff covering the ground." I stated as I searched my memory for other details but nothing came up "who was the leader of the land when you woke up" asked the Royal guard as I shrugged "it wasn't Hitachi but I've been here for some time" I stated as the Royal guard and Lord Hitachi looked deep in thought "Otari dear, do you know where you come from?" Asked Mrs. Anne as I flinched at the name but nodded "From a place far from here, it's really beautiful, I believe Max and the others called it...The Realm." I said as I grabbed a piece of a tasty crunchy meat stick and nibbled on it "Who is Max?" asked Mrs. Anne as I smiled as I heard Max chuckled from inside my head "wanna speak to them, Max?" I thought as Max sighed "sure it'd be better if I answer their questions" stated Max as I nodded and mentally drifted to the realm tree where I dashed to Max and high fived him as he walked past me and took control of my body. "Hello, I am max, If you have any questions about what happened to my Little Ollie, then please feel free to ask, I have most of the answers you need, and he won't be able to hear or remember any of this" stated Max as the adults looked at my body with confusion till they noticed my eyes, they were light orange and light red like a dull fire, different from My original piercing light blue and silver eye color, plus the voice was different "What are you, Max?" Asked the Royal guard as Max turned his gaze to the Royal guard and sighed "I'm a God from the Realm, I'm the only male god...well I guess Ollie is one as well" stated Max "What happened to Otari, why did he disappear? What happened to him!?" Asked Mrs. Anne as her sadness was evident in her voice and she was desperate for the answers "To put it into the simplest way to explain...Otari was kidnapped during the battle, he was able to escape before being taken to the leader of the attackers but he was re-captured in the end." stated Max "Otari defended himself until he was killed ruthlessly by the attackers. For months he was kept chained up, tortured, and starved, but with all, he went through he didn't speak or give what the Leader of the attackers wanted." added Max as he ruffled his hand through my hair "Us God's could do nothing to help save him, but Otari is back and has a bigger objective planned than what you can imagine, I have blocked out his memories of his past life, if you haven't noticed... when you call him Otari it strikes fear into him, he's trapped in the dark...Afraid of not being able to remember much until I reveal his past to him... then he'll really become a handful." sighed Max as he sat still waiting for more questions "so he really did die..." stated Lord Hitachi as he leaned back in his chair and scratched his brow "Yes, and he shouldn't have endured or experience what he had, also the reason he attacks you is because you look similar to the one who tortured him, though you height and looks are very different" stated Max as he kept a straight face while talking to Lord Hitachi "My son didn't have horns, why does he now?" Asked Mrs. Anne as she held an angered face "his horns hadn't grown in yet, they began growing when he was in captivity but they were too small to be noticeable at the time" stated Max "but as for his wings they were clipped off and kept as a trophy" stated Max "Wings? He didn't have wings either" added Mrs. Anne as Max gave her a questioning gaze "yes he did have wings, he just didn't tell you" stated Max as he stood up "I must get back but, I can answer any other questions at another time" stated Max as he returned to the realm and called out my name "Ollie time to go back" Smiled Max as I stood up and waved goodbye to the other 4 God's as they were sitting around me, Max sighed knowing he was gonna get in trouble with the other God's but he hugged Ollie and watched him return back. I shook the dizziness from my head and gazed at the three adults that held stunned faces, I smiled and limped out of the room and grabbed my ripped cloak that needed mending too, I sat on the floor and mumbled while I held my hand above he cloak, a golden light flowed from my hand and surrounded the ripped cloak, once I finished the little chant I had hair learned from the female gods a second ago, I opened my eyes and gleamed down at my newly fixed cloak, I heard footsteps coming down the hallway I glanced up and gazed at Mrs. Anne as she was holding a towel and a pair of clothes "you need a bath, common" stated Mrs. Anne as I rapidly shook my head and scurried over to the corner of the room "n-no thanks I'm good, a-and clean" I stuttered as Mrs. Anne sighed and walked over to me but I dashed around her and tossed my cloak around me as I ran past the Royal guard and Lord Hitachi while dashing out of the house.
