The Awakening of Otari

Chapter 3

          I landed a few feet away from the spot I was just at and landed on my foot which gave off an excruciating pain, the pain was so intense that it made me feel like I should collapse in pain, but I was in danger and had no time to worry about my injury. I stumbled back against one of the pillars of the school and looked up to see the Royal guard and a few dozen other guards, all running out of the cover of the trees and bushes, all running towards me with spear-like weapons in their hands but these were not ordinary spears, they had two points at the end that created electricity that gave off a high voltage and a damaging effect on the person receiving the punishment, these spears were created by the second leader Kouroushi and were given the name of 'Spear of Screams'.

          My eyes widened as the Royal guard and the other guards ran at me with the spear of screams in hand and ready to attack, I saw that all the guards including the Royal guard all had this look in their eyes, as if they saw me nothing more as an animal that has strayed into the wrong territory, like I was some creature that they all feared, kinda like how the other gods glare at Max when he's around or turn a blind eye to him when he's nearby. I felt something sharp go into my stomach followed by an overflowing jolt of pain that covered my body followed by another and another, I didn't have time to scream I was in excruciating pain and all I could do was stand as more and more spears went into me and the high voltage of electricity spread all over my body, every inch of my body was shocked by the electricity.

          After a minute the attack stopped and I finally was able to scream out all the pain I was feeling, I screamed and screamed again as the pain came in waves and just kept coming until the charge of electricity was out and left my body, the guards pulled out the spears and I fell to the floor in a heap of smoke and the smell of burning flesh, I felt a strong burning feeling in my chest and I slowly moved my hand to my chest and mouthed "Max" before I closed my eyes. "Ollie!" yelled the all to the familiar voice of Max from inside my head. 

          My eyes burst opened and glowed a flaming and bright golden orange-red color, just like a fire that is out of control, I jumped to my feet as my tail was lashing side to side behind me, my small and still growing horns showing dignity shined with sharpness as they showed proudly on top of my head, I glared down at the guards all while the Royal guard and other guards stared at me with killer eyes in return.

          "Capture the kid at all cost" yelled the Royal guard as he charged at me along with the other guards, I swiped my hand in front of me and a flame of fire followed my hand then I sent the flames roaring towards the guards who backed off.

          "Now listen carefully, if you haven't figured it out yet, your dealing with a God's Wrath, bringing harm to this kid was a huge mistake and you'll regret your decisions when you realize who this kid is exactly, Tell your leader Hitachi that He... has returned" stated Max as his voice echoed through the air while my body collapsed to the floor again and everything went black.

          All the guards stared at my motionless body as I lay there on the ground, as a pool of blood starts to form around my body, the Royal guard walked over to my body and poked my back with a spear end and I did nothing then he bent down and checked my pulse and sighed in relief as I was still breathing but it was very shallow and weak.

          "alright you all start cleaning up this mess then report back to the kingdom," said the Royal guard as he picked me up and ran to an alleyway just before the town and stopped at a side house that had a sign with a bowl of soup on it and knocked on the door and waited.

          The door slowly opened after a few moments and an old woman stood in the doorway with a dull expression on her face, she held a staff like a stick in her hand and her grey hair was pulled into a bun.
