Chapter 3: Honor Thy Father

Ollie and I went on top of a building. Marcus Redman is our target."Who's that?" Someone shouted. "Where did they come from." another man shouts. Ollie and I start to attack. I throw two knives at one of the men and Ollie shoots arrows. I start to punch and kick. We finally get to Marcus. Ollie throw him to the other side of the building and we jump to where Ollie threw him. I grabbed Marcus and Ollie kicked the fancovering and the fan's blades was revealed. I put Marcus' face by the blades. "No, no, please." Redman pleaded. "Marcus Redman you failed this city." Ollie says.

 "No please don't, please don't." Redman pleaded again. I rolled my eyes. "Cell phone, inside pocket, call your partner. Tell him to give those pensioners back their money." I say threateningly. "Please don't." Marcus pleaded again. "Do it now." Ollie says. And I let go of Redman and we run off.

I dressed in a black crop top with blue jeans, and ankle boots with heals. I walk down the stairs with Ollie and went into the living room where we seen Thea, Walter, and mom listening to the news. "Over the past few years. Redman has withdrawn more than 30 million dollars from the Plan's account. Mr. Redman claims refunding the Halcyon Pension Plan has always been his intent But sources say Redman was coerced by the vigilantes..." The news reporter says on the news. 

Ollie then points to the tv screen, "These people get more air-time than the Kardashians, right?" Ollie says sarcastically. "Five years on an island and you still know who they are." Thea says. "Well, we've been catching up lately." I say and look at Ollie. "It's nice to see how our culture has improved while we have been away." Ollie says. "But the city use to be different. People use to feel safe." Mom says. She's probably saying that cause the vigilantes, Ollie and I. "What's the matter mom? Think we are gonna be next?" Thea ask sarcastically. Mom gets up. "Do you have any questions about today, Oliver, Maya?" Walter asks. "It's a simple proof- of- life declaration. You two just read out a brief, prepared statement to the judge and then your deaths-in-absentia judgement will be voided." Walter explains.

 "It's fine Walter, we've been in a courtroom before." Ollie says looking at me. I rolled my eyes and hit his chest playfully. We both chuckled. "9 times on my estimate. 4 for Ollie and 5 for M. You know, there was the DUI for both of you, the assault on the paparazzi douchebag, again the both of you, stealing that taxi which was just awesome, by the way Ollie. And having sex 3 times in a open parking lot M. And who could forget peeing on the cop, which was Ollie." Tommy reminded us. "I wish everybody would." Mom says. "Really M? Having sex not once, not twice, but three times in an open parking lot?" Tommy asks sarcastically. "What can I say I boys fall in love with me, without me even trying. It's a gift you can say, well I just call it that." I say. Ollie and Tommy look at me with a smile and then Ollie looks back at Tommy. "We'd hang, but we are headed to court." Ollie says. "I know that's why I am here, my bestfriends are getting legally resurrected from the dead, I wouldn't miss this for the world." Tommy says, 

"Ok, what about you?" I ask Thea. "Uh, I think the other first nine times of you two in court was enough for me." Thea says walking out the room. "Fair enough." Ollie mutters under his breath. "Mrs. Queen, the car is ready." Dig says from behind us. We head out to court.

We get out of the limousine and reporters and microphones were shoved in our faces. We keep walking. Ollie grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him. This is like old times, but it's still a lot to take in. "Ugh I hate this already." I say only for Ollie to hear. He looks at me. "I know just...we will get use to this." Ollie says and back to looking straight forward. We finally reach the court house. 

*In the courtroom*

We settle down in the courtroom and Ollie and I stand up. "There was a storm. The boat went down. M and I were the only survivors." Ollie says. "Our father, didn't make it. We almost died, We..." I say and trail off. "We thought we had 'cause we spent...so many days...on that life raft before we saw that island." Ollie says finishing what I was about to say. All the memories trailed back to me. "When we reached it, we knew...we knew we had to survive...for the three of us." I say. "And...in those five years...it was that one thought we both had...that kept us going." Ollie says. "Your Honor, we move to vitiate the deaths-in-absentia filled after Oliver's and Maya's disappearance at sea aboard the Queen's Gambit, five years ago. Unfortunately, we will not be requesting the declaration of death be filed for the petitioner's father's. Robert Queen, be rescinded.
