Chapter 11: Years End

Ollie, Diggle, and I were training together down at the base. "Nice you are picking up the pace." I say.

"I could say the same about you two." Diggle says. "You guys crossed three people off of your father's list without me."

"Yeah, well, some of these guys are just giving it up now." Ollie says. "All we gotta do is pay em a visit."

I nod my head, "Yeah, it really isn't that fun anymore."

"It seems that the vigilantes' reputation is beginning to precede them." Diggle says.

I cut Diggle in the arm and he groans, "Another round?"

"No." Diggle says obviously. Ollie and I smile and we put our knives away. Ollie goes over to the computers and I go over to my knives and sharpen my blades. "Gonna take my nephew to the mall so he can let santa know what he wants for Christmas." Christmas? Shit, I totally forgot that it's Christmas season.

"Christmas. I didn't even realize." Ollie says.

"Same, I forgot it was even Christmas season." I say.

"Probably because you've been logging in so many hood and mask hours." Diggle says.

"Because of that thing that happened with Helena." I say and Ollie gives me a 'really' look.

"I meant there were no holidays on that island." Ollie says. "Everyday was just... "

"How do I stay alive?" I say. "And to do that you had to forget things...things like Christmas."

"Our dad threw a party every year and he would put a Christmas tree in every room." Ollie says.

I smile, "The whole mansion had the scent of...Christmas. It was the best time to be in the mansion."

"Maybe you guys should just give the list a rest and enjoy the holidays with the family." Diggle says. "Besides I hear St. Nick has a list of his own. I wager you guys are in the nice column. Go home Queens."

And with that I had another flashback.

*Flashback*

I had been sleeping on Ollie's chest for I don't know how long, but then I hear a noise of rocks moving and then a bright light. I feel Ollie waking up as well. I see the guy from before coming back in the cave carrying something. I groan. "You guys not dead. Good." The man says.

"Where the hell have you been?" Ollie asks. "We ran out of water and food days ago." The man heads back out.

"Hey, hey, where are you going?" I ask getting up a little bit. The man never replies and I sit next to Ollie as he opens the bottle the man gave us. Then the man comes back with Fyers. The man throws him on the floor and Fyers looks up at us slowly.

"You..." Ollie says angrily and punches him. He goes to attack Fyers some more.

"Stop, stop." The man says.

"Ollie stop now." I say sternly. Ollie looks at me and stops.

"He's the one who tied us up and had us tortured." Ollie says. "All because he was looking for you, he would've killed us if you hadn't showed up."

"Ollie, don't get worked up about it, there has to be a reason-" I start.

"No Maya he tried to kill us." Ollie says.

"Then one of you kill him." The man says handing us a blade. "Or he can take you two home."

Ollie and I look at the man, "What?" We ask in unison.
