The questions keep on coming. After a while they call Mrs. Johnson back into the room and tell her they are ready to go make a decision. I take that as my cue to leave. Heading to my room, I think about the possibility that they will adopt me. My chances are slim. When I get back to my room I put on my headphones and play music. I flop on my bed and close my eyes. The music drowns out my thoughts. I listen as Eminem raps to Lose Yourself.

"Lose yourself in the music the moment you want it, you better never let it go."

That's when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I jump and my eyes fly open. It's Ricky. I pull off my headphones.

"What the heck man?!You scared the mess out of me!"

Ricky laughs. "Sorry. Just thought I'd let you know we decided on who we want to adopt." He has a big smile plastered on his face.

I smile slightly. "Who?"

He gives me a funny look. Like I should know. "Are you being sarcastic?" He asks.

"No."

He shakes his head. "Girl, if you haven't figured it out by now, I shouldn't even tell you!"

At this point I have it figured out. I just don't know. "Me?" I ask him. He nods smiling.

"Pack your bags girl! Your limo awaits!" He says, getting up and walking out.

I feel a goofy grin start to spread across my face. Then I shake my head and think to myself, "Stop it Alex! They'll probably get tired of you and return you in a few weeks."

The smile fades and I put all my stuff in a duffel bag. I don't have much. Some clothes, hygiene stuff, a laptop, chargers, and my phone. Within five minutes I'm done and heading to the "common area" in the front of the building. When I get there the guys are waiting for me.

"Hey," Jc says smiling. "You ready?"

"Yeah," I say nodding slightly. The grin is back. I'm being adopted. Honestly, I never thought I'd see this day. I thought I'd be stuck here till I turned eighteen.

"What are you waiting for?" Trevor asks, excitedly. "Let's go!"

I laugh. We walk outside and I follow them to a black SUV. I stop and turn to Ricky.

"Ricky, I thought you said my LIMO awaits." I say smiling and raising my eyebrows.

"Oops." He says laughing and climbing in the passenger seat. Jc drives, I end up squished between Kian and Trevor in the second row, and Sam sits in the third row.

I sit there awkwardly as we drive to their house. The boys sing to almost every song that comes on the radio. I can't help but laugh a little at the strange group of guys that adopted me.

Finally, after what seems like forever, we pull in the driveway of a huge house. I gasp.

"THIS is your house?!" I say, shocked.
