ShadowFire: Unwanted (Unedited) (BOOK 1)

Chapter Three Part One

Heli's P.O.V

Shadow looked just as terrified as I did as a fairy dressed in all mystical white, had appeared, it was clear she was from the good lands as she smiled just as purely as her dress. Oh how I wanted to be there... anywhere out of the dark lands. She smiled to us and spoke.

“Shadow and Heli, I have heard your souls screaming out for someone anyone to help you find where you will be in your young lifes, and who will be by you during all the ages.”

she smiled from one us to the next, both us sharing dumbfounded looks, it was so rare for a white fairy to come to our lands, we both had no idea it still happened.

“So I have come to grant your deepest wish, but I must warn you it comes with a deep price one that I'm sure you both will struggle against for many years.”

she smiled, this is when I knew she was not a light fairy, as I saw the red band on her arm, she was a neutral fairy, and that wasn't as rare, but, still, it was never as good as some the neutrals were quiet, uhm.... evilish with gifts expectly to the dark lands.

She raised her wand and a flash of red light appeared around Shadow and I yanking us both together and cutting into our wrists, I felt a sting there and snapped my head to the side trying see what was happening as I heard the words that would haunt me forever.

“You found each other in the dark, and that is where you'll remain. One can not live without the other, your life’s will be linked, one will have an hold over the other that can be used to make the other do everything that one wills, the other will have no choice if this link is used. Then the One that can issue this command, will fall, and die and be no more without the other. You the one in command will be something great, but you will fail without the other one with you.”

and the light disappeared, with it the fairy as fast as if she had never been there, I almost fell over but Shadow caught me in his arms holding me up.

I felt odd, there was something wrong with not only my arm, but my neck. I felt like I was wearing a choker, and that my arm had just been burned. Shadow held me bridal style as I said,

“Mirror.” he nodded.

And moved quickly, if I do say so myself, to a giant mirror. He slowly set me down and I staggered he tried to help but I held a hand out,

“No.. Im ok.. just.. give me a second.” I said horlsey, argh I hated sounding weak.

I focused back my thoughts and moved to the mirror a bit shaken at first but when I reached the mirror I tilted my chin up, the dark black collar that encircled my neck was beautiful, not to mention it had an elegant “S” carved into it, and that’s when I understood and knew what the fairy meant, Shadow and I would now be together forever, in a state of shock, I rotated a finger around the sleek surface seeking out any where a key could go, to remove it but I felt a sick pit in my stomach when I felt none.

Taking a deep sigh, I turned my arm and looked where it was stinging right on the soft side of my inner wrist was a delicate black S surrounded by a set of beautiful Celtic lines, forming an black elegant eagle with an red eye.

I took a moment trying to calm my nerves but ended up literately collapsing and screaming. Shadow of course was by me in a second, trying to talk but I didn't hear him, I just heard his voice IN my head, And that alone creeped me out even more, I was in a state of pure shock.  All I could hear him Saying, calm down.. please.. I don't want you to hurt yourself.

I felt an odd weird sense of safety and calm rush over me as he said to calm down, and I nearly panicked again but, I managed to hold myself together.

Please Heli, dont hurt yourself or scream anymore... this is scaring me to but I do not want you to be hurting anymore then you are, it hurts me to. I heard again in my head, why, was he in my head? What the hell. I let out a soft whimper my eyes clentching shut for a breif moment as I attempted to calm my shaken nerves.

Why was his lips moving but I was not hearing it out loud I was hearing him in my head, thats when I realized my hands was covering my ears, and he put one hand to mine and tugged my hands down one by one, the soft tingling sensation staying in my hands as he touched me.

I looked at his arm and amost in a trance, gently tugged free one my hands turning his arm the same one I had the mark on, and looked at the same mark on his arm... with an elegant SF carved in his. I had no idea why it didnt say SH, I mean, that would make sense. I bite my lower lip and looked at him as the door slammed open.

“Fuck, it took forever to get that key to work, did the bitch do something to you bro?” I heard a voice say in irritation. I didn't let my eyes leave the mark as my fingers rubbed over it, lightly biting down on my lower lip.
