The weekend was a time where we didn't have to worry about doing school work. So all three of us decided to go for a swim in my pool before it got cold out, since we were in Iowa. We laid out on pool floaties while tanning. We wanted to look tan for homecoming week. We laid outside for what felt like hours. We talked about guys and the dance.
"Who do you think is going to ask you, Mia?"
"I don't know, but I hope it's someone I like."
"Maybe, it will be Percy."
"He said he had a girlfriend. Obviously you weren't listening."
"He looked really comfortable around you when he was showing you the steps to our routine."
"I don't know why he was so comfortable cuz I don't know him."
"He acts like he knows you."
"It probably doesn't mean anything."
" He probably just saw me on tik tok or something.
"Sure, that might be it. But normally people feel uncomfortable when they meet some for the first time."
" Yeah, it might be odd. Its just a guy being a guy. He probably thought that he could act all cool cuz he thinks he runs the school. He is a jock after all."
"True."
All of a sudden I fell out of my floatie and into the pool.
"Alex, why did you do that!"
"Cuz I thought it would be funny and it was definitely worth it."
Alex is Lily's boyfriend. She more than likely told him to do it.
"What are you doing here, Alex."
" I need to borrow my girlfriend for a surprise."
We all knew what was going to happen. We got out of the pool. We threw on some shorts over our bikini bottoms. He brought us to the front of my house. Outside was a sign that said
" It would be a great splash at hoco with you. Do you want to ride the wave to hoco?
She ran outside screaming yes. She gave him a kiss on he cheek and said "Yes, I'll go to hoco with you."
