1) I'm so sorry for the delay, 6000+ words are kinda hard to type, 2) I had planned to update earlier today {9-21-19}, but my family suddenly decided to pack up and go to the St. Louis Zoo. We had fun, but now my feet and legs are killing me. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter and we'll be back with Imprisoned!
"The Earth Kingdom city of Omashu!" The group of four, plus a giant air basin and winged lemur stood on a hill, looking beyond at a pyramid structured city. "I used to always come here to visit my friend Bumi."
It was almost impressive, Hestia thought, although she couldn't say anything, she's never been to an Earth Kingdom city before. For the first time, she is traveling without the company of Zuko or Iroh. The city was beautiful, she couldn't deny that.
"Wow, " Katara marveled, "We don't have buildings like this in the South Pole!"
"They have buildings that don't melt." Hestia giggles at her little joke. It was true, though.
"You can say that again!" Sokka couldn't stop staring at the city's view.
"Well, let's go, slowpokes! The real fun's inside the city!" Aang said enthusiastically, jumping from the small hill they were on.
"Wait, Aang! It could be dangerous if people found out you're the Avatar." Katara stopped the boy with her sudden outburst.
Hestia found herself blanked. Of course! Now that word is around that the Avatar is alive, a lot of people are going to be looking for him as well. How could she have let that little piece of information slip her mind?
Seeing Sokka fold his arms over his chest, "You need a disguise, " And then he looked at Hestia. "Maybe you, too."
"Huh? Me? Why? I don't have any of my Fire Nation clothes on! Now that I think about it, " Hestia rubbed her right hand on her chin, "I think I left them on Kyoshi..."
"Come on, she doesn't need a disguise! She looks like you guys!" Aang bounces to Hestia's side with a smile.
"You mean Water Tribe?"
"Yeah!"
Sokka squinted at Hestia, "But, she's still Fire Nation!"
"Okay, okay! I'm a half-breed! Now that we've established this bit of clarity, let's just get on with going to the Earth city, yeah?" Hestia didn't like the spotlight, it made her very uncomfortable. She was not a special case, not as special as the Avatar, she'd like to keep it that way.
"Hestia's right. We need to get along." Aang said.
And like the snap of two fingers, it clicked in everyone's minds.
"Right, back to the disguise idea!" Sokka said, dramatically thrusting a hand at Aang, "We can't risk it if you're recognized."
Aang became annoyed instantly, "So what am I supposed to do? Grow a mustache?"
Hestia giggled at the sarcastic comment, but little did she know, he'd have to.
~A few minutes later~
Aang stood, almost taller due to the hat holding together a straw-like wig and a mustache of the same material. Appa's fur was the perfect hair he needed to be an old man.
"It looks itchy..." Hestia plucked a stray strand of fur from the wig as Aang scratches his head.
"It is, " Aang said, uncomfortable at the intense itchiness. "How do you live in this stuff?" The boy turned to his bison.
The giant beast groaned as if scoffing at the insult of his own fur being called "itchy".
"Great! Now you look just like my grandfather." Sokka had his arms crossed, squinting at Aang weirdly.
