Ayumi's POV:
After leaving Reiji's room, I was walking down the halls and humming a tune. I look ahead to see a red-haired figure and Yui. His head seemed to be next to her neck and she looked like she was on the verge of blacking out. I ran up to the figure and grabbed his head, forcefully pulled him off Yui and threw him to the wall with all the strength I could muster.
"Oi, oi Yui are you okay?"
"A-ah... Ayumi-chan. I-I'm fine."
"Fucking liar. I'm taking you back to your room."
"O-okay."
I lifted her up bridal style about to leave, totally forgetting about the idiot behind us.
"Oi, where do you're going?"
I look back at Ayato to see him right behind me. I sighed before turning around and walking away from him, totally ignoring him.
"Hey! Oresama is talking to you Melons! How dare you ignore me? Do you want to get killed?"
By then, Yui was already knocked out. He kept throwing threats at me while walking behind us, following all the way to Yui's room. I opened the door and left it open, already knowing that the dude behind me was gonna come inside whether Yui liked it or not. I laid her on her bed and turned around to look at him.
"Can you turn around? I need to.. you know... change her."
He tsked before turning around obediently and I began working on changing her. Finally finished, I put the covers on her body.
"You can turn around now."
I briefly went to her bathroom and grabbed some rubbing alcohol with some cotton pads. Grabbing a chair, I sat it next to her bed as I put my butt in the chair. I poured the alcohol on the cotton pads and prayed that Yui wouldn't wake up. I gently pressed it against the fang marks on her neck and watched her face for any sort of reaction. Thankfully, there was none so I continued to clean it as Ayato watched me from behind. Finishing, I threw away the dirty pads and put the alcohol back in the bathroom before taking a seat in the chair next to her bed.
"You really don't know how to hold back huh?"
"Tch, shut up. Oresama can do whatever he wants."
"You know you sound really lame talking about yourself in the third person." I deadpanned as I started petting my sisters head. The tense look on her face seemed to disappear as she relaxed.
"Shaddap."
We stayed quiet for a few minutes before I finally determined that it was okay to leave her in bed and I grabbed Ayato's arm. I forced him out of the room with me and pushed him towards the direction of his room.
"Go to bed, we have school tomorrow. Oh and don't bother Yui if you don't want your ass kicked."
I didn't wait for his answer as I walked to my room and shut the door. Wanting to take a shower, I walked into the bathroom and looked out myself in the mirror. Yui was right something about me did change. My red eyes weren't cold anymore, in fact, they had a little sparkle in them. My mouth wasn't turned in a frown anymore, making my frown lines not as prominent as before. I wonder what caused me to change. I quickly took a shower and headed to my bed. I looked up at my ceiling before falling asleep, already knowing what was coming.
*DREAM*
I walked in the darkness waiting for that stupid light to show up. When it did, I ran full speed towards it, wanting to meet that girl. It was set by a lake with trees surrounding it during the daytime. I see the girl hiding behind a tree and looking at something. She seemed to be shaking. I look around her to see that purple-haired lady that I had seen way too often looking down at something in the lake. I saw splashing and beyond her, I saw a little red-haired boy drowning. OH GOD, HE WAS DROWNING. I ran up to him trying to grab his hand, only for it to pass through. Oh yeah, that's right, I can't touch anything in here. He was reaching out his hand, asking for help from the lady, but she just stood there, watching. The boy's mouth opened in shock before he slowly went underwater. The lady walked away once that happened and the little girl came out of hiding before jumping in the lake. She came out seconds later with the boy who was unconscious in her arms as she struggled to pull him out. She was finally able to throw him on shore and got to work, slapping his face and pushing on his chest. The boy seemed to wake up before he coughed out water and spit it out on the side. He looked up at the little girl before crying and hugging her. The girl had tears in her eyes, but she didn't let them fall.
