Ayumi's POV:
We reached school to see it's usually boring outside decorated with banners and balloons. There was a big banner in the middle saying 'WELCOME TO COLORS: A HOMECOMING DANCE'. I gagged. God, what was so fun about this shit anyway? We all walked out of the limo and entered the cafeteria where it was being held to be met with a disco ball and bright lights bouncing off the walls. THIS WAS FUCKING HORRID. There were bodies everywhere and I didn't have to stand on the dance floor to feel everyone's body heat. Music was blasting causing everyone to flinch. Jeez, if it was this bad for humans, how bad was it for vampires? We all walked to an open table and took our seats.
"So... What are we supposed to do?" I asked.
"I guess we can get food?" Yui suggested.
"Alright. Are you guys coming?"
"I don't want to eat such human filth" Kanato hissed.
"They have a dessert table."
"... I guess I shall go."
"How about everyone else?"
Everyone nodded, the only one not nodding was Shu, which was expected. Even if he didn't answer, I knew he was going to tag along anyways. We all walked to the buffet to see a variety of food that money can afford. They had seafood, steak, a whole ass chicken, and many more options. I felt overwhelmed by the number of options and I ended up just grabbing a few crab legs and some salad before heading back to the table. I see Kanato already sitting with THREE plates of desserts ranging from cake to brownies to macarons. I sat next to him and watched him as he ate his sweets happily. As usual, he had cream and crumbs all over his face. I grabbed a napkin and wiped his face, chuckling at the little sparkle in his eye, not noticing the others have already sat down. I heard a clang and looked to my right to see Laito, his mouth surrounded by mashed potatoes. I flinched and sighed as I used the other end of the napkin to clean his face as he hummed happily. Finishing up, I started eating my dinner and almost cried at how good these crab legs tasted. This is what I call top quality. I sighed in content after I finished before hearing someone behind me.
"You have stuff on your face. Stay still."
Reiji brought out his handkerchief and wiped the corners of my mouth.
"Don't you always say it's rude to stand up during dinner Reiji?" Laito grinned.
He simply ignored him and returned to his seat after finishing with me. I looked around and saw nominations for homecoming queen and king. Grinning, I rushed to the table and voted for the nonofficial couple. Suddenly, a familiar song came on. Yui stood up and dragged me to the dance floor, forcing me to dance. It was fine until I felt hands and someone TRALALA rubbing against my ass. I turned around to see an unfamiliar guy grinning down at me with his ugly face and winking. Before I could do anything, a hand pushed him and I was pulled into a familiar chest.
"Don't touch what's mine," a voice said tiredly.
The guy nodded, apologizing and running away. I looked up slowly to see Shu with one eye open glaring at the guy's figure running away before looking down and settling on my red ones.
"Thanks, but I could have handled it myself."
He didn't say anything and suddenly, a slow song came on. I faced Yui and mouthed 'get Ayato'. She blushed before nodding and walking to the table, asking him to dance. He nodded before leading her to the center and they began dancing, looking at each other lovingly. I sighed. Young love was always so beautiful. I was about to walk off when I remembered that I was in a certain someone's arms.
