Will could sense Nico's feelings toward him. He didn't know why. Maybe it was a gift from Apollo. He had heard that Asclepius could sense Leo's pain.
Will was glad, maybe overjoyed, that Nico thought of him as more than just "a healer". Will had liked Nico since quite a while ago. He wasn't even sure when his feelings developed.
But Nico was naïve when it came to subtle hints. Before Will could come straight out with his message, Nico would shadow travel away. So maybe straight out wasn't the best expression to use.
Will was sure that Nico wasn't avoiding him on purpose. He had heard from Nico's sister, Hazel, that he took trips every so often to McDonald's.
The whispering from the Aphrodite cabin would happen right in front of Nico and he wouldn't notice. He had no clue about what was going on, but was bound to find out sometime.
