Nico didn't know where it came from. The courage, the energy, everything it took to tell the whole story to Will. He just broke down and like a dam, it all came flowing out.
Will didn't say a word the whole time so Nico wasn't sure if Will was being respectful and really wanted to run away or if he actually cared."The point is that my dad wants me to be happy, so does Hazel and even I have wanted to feel better lately. I just don't know how."
"Nico, you should have told me this sooner. I could've helped. I should let you know that I can sense your feelings, being a child of Apollo. You're broken in every way possible." Will cared. Really, he did.
"There's only one thing connecting me to happiness and the hope's so thin that I'm not sure if it's even worth it." Nico almost whispered.
"Can you tell me what that thing is?" Will whispered back.
"No. I can't. I don't think you'd understand."
Nico got up and walked away.

He couldn't be around Will if he didn't know how to feel. Nico really wanted to confess his feelings. He had just told his whole life story to Will but he couldn't express such a simple emotion. If it was love though, it was far from a simple emotion.
Love was often on the border of hate and also connected. Nico had learned that already. He couldn't make himself hate Will just because he was confused. Hades had to be right. There was some sort of decent ending for him, right?
