As soon as Nico had fled, Will realized that he didn't get to mention the Aphrodite fiasco.
But Will figured that Nico had had enough to deal with so far.
Will sat, going over everything Nico had told him. Demigods were known to have a hard life but what Nico had endured was worse than any monster.
He didn't deserve the pain. Anger built inside of him and he couldn't stand it any longer. Will stood abruptly and headed to the dining pavilion for supper.
Nico was just leaving after getting his food. He usually ate in his cabin even though Chiron wanted him to get to know the other campers.
Will was so tempted to join him, to tell him how he felt. But he could easily see the hurt and exhausted look on Nico's face and knew that he had to let it go. At least, just this once.
So after sacrificing some of his food to Apollo, he sat down with his cabin mates and laughed along with everyone else.
A/N: A short part but it has a lot of emotions.
