The following day, School had come to an end meaning Liam's and Sophie's birthday party had arrived. Their house was packed with family and friends. Music was playing very loudly, and everyone was talking to each other. They all looked like they were having a great time, I included.

The lively music entered my ears and flowed through my body making me move to the beat with all my friends baring one. I looked around for him as I slowly came to a stop when I realized he wasn't around.

Liam wasn't there, so I made my way outside to see if I could find him. Hope he's out here, I thought as I stepped out of the back door into the garden.

Sure enough there he was sitting on the wooden bench staring up at the stars. The stars and space, in general, had always interested him. I was sure he'd become an astronomer one day.

I remember that our love of the sky was what had brought us together as friends. He had drawn in the nursery school sandpit with his tiny fingers on our second day when I knelt beside him to introduce myself. I asked him what he was drawing and he told me the night sky so I started drawing the morning sky.

However, thinking back now the drawings were probably just lines, and squiggles. Liam said that the stars could tell stories from hundreds of years ago, and other galaxies have been around for thousands of years.

He was always telling them to me, and I loved listening, even though I knew he was just making them up. His imagination was brilliant, so much so that if he didn't make it as an astronomer he would be an excellent author.

I walked over to him and he must have heard me approaching because he looked away from the sky to look at me.

"Why are you out here, and not inside at your party?" I asked him as I sat down beside him.

"I wanted fresh air," he replied.

"The sky looks so beautiful tonight," I said.

"Yes, it does." He smiled and I couldn't help but notice how cute he looked in the moonlight.

The pale glow of the moon highlighted and defined the features of his face and his pale-blue eyes shone and the grey hints in his eyes seemed to sparkle like the stars above us. How didn't he have a girlfriend? He was smart, kind, and handsome. But I knew the answer he loved me. He didn't want a girlfriend if that girl wasn't me.

I let out a sigh. "What do the stars say tonight?" I asked him.

"They tell a lot of stories every single night even when you can't see them," he said.

"Then will you tell me one?"

"Okay. There once was a young beautiful Queen with long dark flowing brown hair. She was kind and fair to all her kingdom but she feared that no one liked her. It wasn't true though everyone liked her, they were proud to call her Queen. She also had amazing powers she had yet to discover and was very strong, but she was lost. The queen couldn't decide what she wanted in life or who she wanted to be. She was still learning and discovering herself. You see she was still very young but had so many pressures on her. She had her trustee servant and friend though, who loved her very much and would always be beside her side," he began.

"Why does the Queen in that story sound so familiar?" I questioned him.

"Does she?"

"Yeah," I answered.

"Continue?"

"On one very amazing day, something happened that would make everything clear to her. She would find herself and nothing would ever be the same again," he added.

"This Queen, what were her powers?" I wondered.

"Telekinesis just like you," he replied.

"Ok, so is she based on me by any chance?" I asked.

"No, you are far more beautiful and talented," he said and a smile found its way on my face as I looked away from him.

Then I gave him a playful nudge. "Okay, sure," I said as I looked back at him noticing his eyes were locked on me.

A smile came to his face as he leaned forward and then sat back up straight again. "Thanks for sitting out here with me," he said.

"Any time," I said.

"Guess I better head back inside to my party," he stated and stood up. I did the same and we walked inside together.

Inside some people were beginning to leave as it was getting late now and it was a School night, but there were still people chatting and dancing to the music. "Do you want to dance?" Liam asked me.

"Okay," I replied and followed him to the dance floor.

Not long later my mum came to pick me up. My mum didn't have my dad's car with her, so we walked home but we didn't live too far away. It was just two streets away. Liam and Sophie moved near me a few years ago, when their mum bought the little cafe because the house had been closer.

When I got home, I went straight upstairs to my bedroom and turned on my laptop. I needed to revise about heroes as I had been more focused on my High School than on my entrance exam.

As I read a useful webpage my eyes began to feel so heavy I struggled to keep them open, so I switched off my laptop.

Then I got ready for bed and once I was finished I climbed into bed. My phone then made a beeping sound, just as I was dropping off to sleep. I picked up my phone and blinked until I could see the bright screen with my tired eyes.

It was a text from Liam.

I had fun tonight.

That's good and so did I.

See u at School tomorrow.

Yeah.

Goodnight Hanna. I love u.

Goodnight Liam xx.

I put my phone on my bedside table and then I pulled the blankets over me making sure my feet were covered. I hated my feet sticking out. I always felt like someone could come along, and pull me out of bed. Not that it would ever happen, but better take precautions. I lay down on my pillow and drifted off to sleep.
