I got into the tent and Bonnie smirked with a knowing look.
"Whyyy are you staring at me like that?"
"I saw you sitting out there with Clemont. Having any thoughts about him yet? Romantic maybe?"
"Funny. Serena asked the same thing earlier."
"So?"
"Hm.. earlier I would've said no but now, even I'm not so sure."
"Yes! Our plan worked!"
"Wha? What do you mean?"
"Clemont has just been so lonely now that I'm out doing trainer stuff most of the time. Serena and I planned on getting him a girlfriend somehow this visit, then we ran into you! It was perfect! We had to start our plan as soon as possible! And now you both have a crush on each other! That means it's working! I'm just glad you were actually the right fit for him."
"So that means you were leaving it up to fate that the first girl you ran into would be right for your brother?"
"Yep!"
"You're really bad at love. Sadly, I wouldn't be able to date your brother anyway."
"What!? But why? Is there something wrong? You have a crush on him right?"
"No, no, theres nothing wrong. Not with him anyway. I just.. I-I.." I took a small breath. "N-now don't freak out okay b-but.. Bonnie, I can't.. love."
"How can that be? Love is something everyone can do!"
"That's not exactly true. See, I've been so trapped within the life that others made for me that I closed myself off. I gave myself rules upon rules that prevented me from feeling emotions. I went without emotion for so long that it became near impossible to even feel it at all. That's why I can't date your brother. Cause I'm too afraid to hurt him for being numb sometimes." I teared up, I saw Bonnie tear up as well. She hugged me.
"We'll fix you... I swear we will..."
I started crying.
"Th-thank you Bonnie. I hope it's that simple."
By taking down my walls a bit, I've made some new friends. What a wonderful day.
