Y/n p.o.v.
I smirked at Clemont's blushing. I really hope all goes well between us.
"You two should totally go on a date!" Bonnie said gleefully.
"D-date?" Clemont turned an even brighter red. I felt my face heat up a bit as well.
"I-I mean, we don't have to. If anything we should spend more time with Ash and Serena before they have to leave eheh.." I said. Awkward laughter wasn't going to save me now though. Bonnie wasn't giving up just yet.
"You guys can go on a double date! I'll be the beautiful and charming fifth wheel hehe!"
"That would be great! Ash and I haven't had a proper date in a while." Serena smiled.
"Didn't we go on one last week?" Ash asked.
"That was last month Ash." Serena sighed. "Last week we were having trouble with plane tickets cause you kept challenging the airport staff to a battle."
"Oh yeah! One of them actually did battle me." He grinned.
"Yeah, yeah. Of course that's the thing you remember."
I chuckled. "Wow Clemont. Hope we're not like that hehe!"
"I doubt it. Ash has a brain like no other." Serena stated.
"So? How about it? You really, really should!"
"A date huh..." I got lost in thought for a moment day dreaming about everything that could happen.
"You can't really be considering it can you? D-don't you think it's too soon?" Clemont stuttered out.
"Nah. Let's try it and see how it goes." I flashed him a confident smile, causing him to blush and nod an ok.
~Skippp, cause I'm lazy and filler is difficult~
I felt confident earlier, but it's now an hour before the date and now I'm getting anxious. Of all times why now!? Bonnie walked into the tent while I was digging for a decent shirt.
"Looks like you're struggling a bit. Never been on a date~" she snickered.
"Wh- well- fine! No, I haven't been on a date before. I don't think I have anything to wear either."
"Then let's go shopping!"
"An hour before the date?"
"Clemont will understand. Come on! Let's go!"
Bonnie dragged me out of the tent and back into town. We passed a few shops before Bonnie found the one she was looking for.
"You have lots of money right?"
"My parents are rich Bonnie. I have my own credit card with thousands of dollars on it."
She smirked and dragged me into the store.
"Excuse me, could you help us get something that'll look good on my friend?" She asked a worker.
"Hm.. come, I have just the thing. Everyone looks good in a nice suit."
"Yay!"
He gave me a nice looking suit.
"Do you have anything more casual?"
"A vest instead of a jacket maybe?"
"That'll do."
Instead of a suit jacket, he gave me a silky vest.
I went into the changing room and put it on. Looking in the mirror, I felt weird. I had never worn something like this before, it felt nice. I felt more like I was actually me.
Bonnie squealed as I walked out.
"It's perfect! You should get it!"
"Yeah.. I definitely will. Bonnie, how much time is left?"
She looked at her watch.
"Oh frik.. buy it and wear it out!" She pulled off the tags quickly and rushed us over to the cashier.
Nervous about how the cashier would react to Bonnie throwing a bunch of tags on the counter, I fumbled to pull out my card. The cashier just sighed, mumbling something about people doing this all the time. We paid and left, Bonnie dragging me by the arm as we tried to get back to camp. We ran into Ash, Serena, and Clemont on the way there. I bent over with my hands on my knees trying to catch my breath.
"Clemont.. your sister.. is really fast.."
He chuckled.
"Yeah. I know. Difficult to keep up.. with.."
He seemed to lose his words and blush when I stood up straight enough for him to see my outfit. He didn't look half bad either, dressed up in a full suit with a bow tie. I noticed his expression and giggled.
"I cleaned up better then you thought huh?" I said with a smirk, shooting him a wink.
He blushed even more.
"Y-y-yeah." He took a deep breath, steadying his voice. "You look amazing though."
"Thanks, don't look too bad yourself blondie."
"I think he looks like a dressed up tomato." Bonnie smirked.
"Sh-shut up!" He shouted while being very flustered.
"Let's get this date started shall we?" I said, putting my arm out for him.
I linked arms with the blushing nerd, and we walked to the restaurant we were going to have our date at.
~Small time skipp~
We sat down at our table, picking what we wanted to order for drinks. There was something off about our waiter. It's like she didn't know what she was doing at all. Her acting was good though. We got our drinks from another waiter, and began picking our food. It had been normal chatting up until this point, but then Clemont asked something I didn't know the answer to.
"Hey, Y/n?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you want to make us.. official?"
I looked down. I felt bad that I didn't know.
"Clemont.. I.. um.. I really really like you.. I do want this.. but.. I-"
A loud noise and cloud of smoke flowing through the restaurant cut me off. Our pink haired waitress from earlier stood next to a purple haired waiter with nets and smoke grenades.
"Prepare for trouble,"
"And make it double."
"To protect the world from devastation,"
"To unite all people within our nation,"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love,"
"To extend our reach to the stars above,"
"Jessie."
"James."
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light,"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight,"
A 3rd really short waiter, who turned out to be a talking Meowth, suddenly jumped onto the table with them.
"Meowth, that's right!"
"Team Rocket!?" Everyone at the table gasped except me.
"Uh, who are these guys?"
"We explain this to everyone we meet." Clemont sighed.
"It's just a thing we do, gotta continue the meme brother." Bonnie said, clearly breaking some 4th wall somewhere.
"They're bad people who steal other people's pokemon." Ash explained.
"Oh boy." I sighed. This date was a mess now.
I stood up, walking towards them. I made a swift arm movement and suddenly, their nets all had big holes in them. They looked shocked until they saw the scissors in my hand. I closed the scissors back into my tool knife, and looked at them with an unimpressed expression.
"You little brat! We worked hard to make those nets impossible for pokemon to break out of! Do you know how much this stuff costs to make!?" Jessie shouted in frustration, sounding like an angry seagull.
"No, do yOu know what you've done? You came in here, smoked out the place, and expected to steal pokemon after revealing yourself and your plan so easily. Not to mention you scReweD uP mY dAte. Go find other people to bother you super villain rEjecTs."
"Rejects? Why you!" James growled, clearly offended.
"Leave peasants." -.-
"Grrr.. we'll be back! You'll see brat!" Jessie yelled, running out the door with her 2 teammates.
"Sure I will." I sighed.
Turning back to the others, I grabbed my bag off the chair.
"Let's go. They need to clean this up anyway." I walked out the door and waited for them. Only Clemont came out.
"The others said they're going to help clean up Team Rocket's mess." Clemont said.
"Alright. Come on, let's see if we can salvage tonight back at camp." I smiled at him.
We started our walk, the stars becoming more visible the further from town we got.
"So, what were you going to say earlier? Before they cut you off?"
"Well.. I was going to say I'm not ready for this.. because I don't want to accidentally hurt you. I've never had something like this before. It's all so new.. I feel strange.. but it's a good strange."
"I see.." Clemont looked down.
"You misunderstand me.. what I'm trying to say through all the rambling is.." I stopped walking and looked at him, taking both his hands in mine. "I want this.. I want.. us.. it'll take a lot of time and getting used to, but if you're okay with that.. then.."
Clemont smiled at me, our faces close to each other.
"M-may I..?"
I nodded.
He gave me a kiss on the lips, and I kissed back. It only lasted a small moment, but it felt so much longer.
"You really are a prince charming aren't you?" I smirked at him.
He blushed and chuckled. "Honestly, you're way more charming then I am."
"Sure, I'll let you think that for now. Makes me feel cooler then I am hehe~"
We got back, sitting behind the tents, just holding hands and silently watching the stars.
I guess tonight was more perfect then I thought.
