Chapter 1: See you soon

Today was the day I had been looking forward for for days. It's finally here. I'm going to see my cousin, Connor, for the first time in what, four months? I can't remember. Anyway, apparently he's in some sort of band. Ha, I bet it's one of those shitty ones that play in school shows or in front of their own parents.

"Are you ready to go?" My mums voice came through the door and interrupted my thoughts, like, do you mind? I was busy thinking about Connor and his 'band'

"Yes, just give me two minutes, I'm just putting my shoes on" I replied

After I put my shoes on, I grabbed my suitcase, my bag and headed downstairs towards the living room on the right where my mum and dad were sitting on the couch watching last nights Hollyoaks. Ohh oh, Tony's being accused of cheating.

"Sooo, are you going to miss us?" My dad asked

"Nope" i sarcastically replied, obviously joking "not at all"

Before I knew it, I was pulled into a huge hug and had a kiss placed on my forehead.

"I'm going to miss you so much Ann" he said looking down at me.

"I'm going to miss you two too, but, you need a shave" I said pushing him away laughing.

My mum and dad are going away to Paris for five days for their anniversary. Five whole days. I've never been away from them for that long before. Most people would be like 'woop woop chicken soup' but nope, not me, I'm actually really close to my mum and dad. I just want this week to go quick.

Saying my last goodbyes to both my parents, my taxi arrived. When I got into the taxi and told the man the address where to go, I was finally on my way to see my older yet stupidest cousin ever.

I haven't properly introduced myself yet. I'm Anna Smith, I am 16 years old, I am originally from Scotland but I moved to Birmingham about two years ago. We only moved here to be closer with my family which I am happy about, I just miss my friends back in Scotland.

And yes, I still have a Scottish accent.
