Chapter 51: Awkward Question

"Joe, Dean and the boys are going to be round in a bit to see them" Brad told me as he entered our bedroom.

"Okay" I sighed, throwing myself back so I was lying on our double bed.

"You know, the kids are asleep and they won't be here for about ten minutes" Brad threw himself onto the bed besides me, wiggling his eyebrows.

"But -"

"And you're not pregnant anymore, we can actually . . ."

"But what if they wake up"

"We're going to have to be quiet then, aren't we?" He giggled.

"Why don't we wait until Saturday? That way the girls wont be here at all" I asked, my voice tired.

"Because everyone's coming round for our housewarming party, even though we've lived here for about a month now" he laughed.

"That'll be around six o'clock though, we could earlier. . ."

"Well -" Brad started but was cut off when the doorbell rang, signalling they were now here.

"Oh, saved by the bell" I smirked, pulling myself from our bed and into the living room.

"I wasn't actually saved"

"Saved me" I muttered under my breath just loud enough so he could hear me, causing him to scoff.

I swung the door open to reveal the faces of: Connor, Tristan, James, Joe and Dean, I hadn't seen in months.

"Finally! I haven't seen you all in so long!" I exclaimed, trying to keep my voice low due to be babies being asleep in the other room.

"I know" Tristan sighed, pulling me in for a hug. After one of his hugs where my neck was burried into his chest due to the size difference, he took his hands from my back and placed them on my shoulders to part us. "Have you got food?"

"Help yourself to the kitchen" I laughed, pointing towards the kitchen so he knew what direction to go in, since he, or the rest of them, had never been here before.

"Anna, cousin" Connor smiled as he made his way over to me. "How are you?"

"Great, how are you?"

"Great" he mocked my tone.

"This food is amazing!" Tristan shouted at he swung the kitchen door open and skipped into the living room to join everyone else, which resulted in my sushing him in case he woke the girls up.

"What have you got?" I asked laughing at him being stupid after he apologised for being loud.

"You'd think I know" he said.

"How don't you know what you're eating?" I asked, frowning my eyebrows.

"I've never had this before!"

Everyone went off into their own conversations whilst I made myself a drink of water in the kitchen.

"When shall we surprise them then?" Brads voice come from the door. As he apporached me, he placed his chin on my shoulder and wrapped his arms around my waist, connecting his hands in front of my stomach.

"Whenever"

"Now?" He asked as he let go of each hand and turned me around so I was now leaning against the counter. Our faces inches from each others.

"Okay" I smiled.

Brad took my free hand in his as I placed my drink of water onto the kitchen counted. We made our way back into the living room to see everyone sat on the couch, looking towards us with smugly smirks on their faces.

"what you two been up to?" Dean smirked causing Connor to glare at him.

"When are you going to tell us the surprise?" James asked before I could even open my mouth.

"We can show you better than tell" Brad grinned before we disappeared into the babies room on the left.

I took hold of Chloe in my arms, cradling her body close to mine, keeping a tight, firm grip on her as I walked slowly into the living room, earning gasps from everyone.

"She's beautiful" I heard James whisper, trying not to wake her.

"Everyone, this is Chloe Anne Simpson" I greeted them as I passed her over to Connor.

"What's the surprise? I'm confused" Tristan spoke up.

I don't the same as what I done in my parents house, I called Brads name and in he walked.

"Why is there two?" I heard Dean asked Joe, idiotically.

"Oh my god!" James practically squealed.

"Everyone, this is Ellie Louise Simpson" Brad told them as he handed her over to James who brought her close to his chest and whispered something in her ear.

"Okay, awkward question - the hospital knows you took two, right?" Joe asked like he was trying to get an answer for Dean, but instead, it caused everyone to burst out laughing.

"They're twins you tit" Brad answered him, squatting his chest as he watched James pass Ellie to Tristan and Connor pass Chloe to Dean.

"They're beautiful" James smiled as he pulled me into a hug, and due to the size difference with James and I, my head was burried in his neck when I reached up and went onto my tiptoes. "Ruby told me to tell you she was sorry she couldnt make it tonight, she has a college interview"

"Okay, ill text her later" I replied into his neck. "James" I then whispered in his ear.

"What?" She whispered back, still keeping me tight in his arms.

"You and Ruby are this godparents. Is that okay?"

"Are you messing?" He grabbed my shoulders and parted our bodies. He connected our eyes and I could see the water casting over them. "Anna, thank you so much" he pulled me back into him.

"I love you James. I trust you two if anything ever happens to Brad and I"

"I love you too" he said, placing a kiss on my cheek.
