I reached the crowd when they were just wrapping up from the game and getting into the reflection part. Professor Krinton didn't even notice me reappearing, the hell I think he didn't even notice me leaving, either he didn't care or he was that bad at keeping tabs on his students.

"So what did we learn from today's activity?" he directed at the crowd. But failed to get any answers. When he realized he wasn't going to get any answers from the blank crowd he himself set into the explanation.

"Incantations are not easy, and a small change in the pronunciation of the incantation will completely change the spell you intended to cast. Just like how the act I whispered into Juanita's ear was way different from what it reached till the last person. In my class that is Basic spell casting 2, we will be learning incantations and spell casting over next three years, let me warn you it will not be easy, as you will not be understanding the spell half the time" a half-smile played on his face. He didn't explain anything further as the bird song rang across the field, marking it as an end to the lecture.

"Professor Krinton is really good in practical" Katy told the group once the class dispersed.

"Yeah! He is really good, starting the class with activity was a good idea" Merlin thought.

"You know if your next one hour is going to be spent in a chemistry lab filled with smoking chemicals, I'm out of here", I whispered to Kathy.

"Hey, you are not ditching me okay, and anyway I don't think Professor Grazel will start with the practical today itself". I opened my mouth to argue but then she got her way out finally, like always.

Minutes later I was standing inside the Alchemy lab which had work tables arranged in rows just like any chemistry class. It had a computer at one end of the class. The tables had pots and ladles for brewing, had burners and the stacks were filled with bottles of well not chemicals but weird stuff. I'm pretty sure they were all solid contents.

I didn't mind joining Merlin in some chemical making as it didn't involve any magic use as such. I didn't think much into what was within those bottles until I had to open one of them to brew a disintegration liquid. Rotten pumpkin, I was pretty sure I was going to throw up once I opened the bottle and the fact that in seconds the entire class will be dealing with this didn't do any better, and for another, the lab didn't have any windows. I started surveying the lab, praying they had ventilators.

"So what does this disintegration liquid do?" I asked Merlin, dropping the squashed roots of something I didn't know.

"Oh, it disintegrates anything in an instant" she replied. Her tone at the word anything put me into deep thought. But the end of an hour our liquid was almost lilac which was the colour it was supposed to be, confirmed Merlin ruffling through the pages of her book. Professor Grazel checked everyone's potions and then dismissed the class giving us homework of finding out ways to measure the intensity of the colour, which was apparently important in determining the strength of the potion.

"That's easy, you could just use a spectrophotometer to measure it," I told Merlin, and then immediately regretted opening my mouth.

"What is that?" she asked laughing "I'm not even going to try to say it aloud", she continued in her jovial tone. I was relieved when she didn't take me seriously and start asking me any questions. I would have got into so much trouble..'Oh lord! Save me' I prayed. She packed her stuffs and we finally got ready to leave the lab.

"So what now? We have the entire day for ourselves with nothing to do" asked Alicia.

"As I'm not from here, I would really love having a look around the nearby city in Xenopia", thought Clarke (yes! Finally I know her name now).

"Yes, even I want to see," said Katy, turning to Merlin, excitedly. Merlin was born and brought up here, so naturally, she knew more about this place than anyone from our small group.

"Yeah, I think we can go", she said beaming now.

"What, can we go out just like that?" I asked widening my eyes. I thought they were just kidding, but she was really considering it.

"Yes, we can go out, as far as we are back before curfew and attend all the classes they really don't care", she answered, widening her smile "So what say? Let's hit the road girls?", she continued.

"Guys, but I kind of have a problem", I said awkwardly.
