Leapt in the air as if a firecracker had gone off, shrieked, wild eyed, bewildered, hands over mouth, nostrils flaring, blood drained from face, mouth opening and shutting like a goldfish with no sound coming out, still as a statue, ridged as a board, face stuck in an incredulous expression, unblinking stare, shaking head in disbelief, sent reeling backwards, brain desperately scrambling to make sense of it all, rendered speechless, temporarily incapacitated, stood as if paralysed from the neck up, gibbering nonsense, unable to comprehend what had just occurred, stood as gormless as a guppy.

The voice of the young lady snagged the attention of David,rolling teats from his expressive face.

"Valarie!!" He said

Davids eyes were drenched with tears,as the young lady that was earlier called walked out with accumulated anger.

"Why on earth is this shirtless young man roaming around the hall way"said by Ms Gilbert

" He had to remove them due to the heavy storm outside "I said

" So! A little storm isn't a big deal.... and as for you miss Glynn, care to explain why your name isn't  on the attendant list this past periods  "she replied

" Ms Gilbert I can explain...." I said stammering

"We are so sorry for that , I'm David by the way, Rain's cousin" David said interrupting Ms Gummer

As soon as Ms Gilbert was done with her never ending speech , David and I followed her to her office for signing and stamping some necessary papers.

We were offered two seats in the reception before entering her office, Davids eyes were fixed on an old Chadwick Wills portrait in the reception ,I didn't want to ruin his meditation but I had to.

"Hey" I said in a sweet and voice tune

"What happened back there ?"I asked,waiting for an answer , finally, I got one after series of pestering .

" Recall I once told you I had a girlfriend "he said in disappointment

"Yeah so " I replied

"That girl back there was my girlfriend , her name is Valarie "

His words were dropping from his mouth one after the other, enraged ,infuriated,grilled. Its so hard to admit that I hate to see David like this.

"Its okay, besides life goes on " I said

"You're right , besides the only reason you got me into my body was to help you and your "JULY,25th " problem" David said

He kept looking at the picture ,each second ,close and close, I needed to distract him again,

"Why are you so engrossed with the picture" I said

"Oh! ,its nothing ! I just like the painting that's all" he said

I know David was lying , its was spelt and written legibly on his face

"I know your lying! Just tell me spill it, what is it that you are afraid of! " I said,looking at him as if I wanted to shove his heart out his his chest.

"I...I...er...I.." He said stammering, out of curiosity I slapped him in the face

"Ouch! What was that all about! " he said as

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you in the face , all I wanted was the truth " I said soberly

"Its fine , its actually not worth it" he said as he stood up and turned his head backwards.
