| Chapter 12 |

The morning was so cloudy, On this cloudy morning there are growing patches of blue, the sort of hue that is soft and bright at the same time. Though beneath the sheet of cloud is a grey that deepens to steel, the leading edge is a brilliant white, as if it is the pages of a new book ready for any curious eye. So, on this day that could bring rain or sunshine, I'm hoping for both, for the chance of a rainbow and to feel so much more because the day is blessed with clouds.

I got out of my bed to see that everybody was gone! I was so scared! I could hear fear talking to me.

Then I saw Chadwick walk in with a gun and he shoots it straight into my chest .

"Rain! Rain!! Rain!!!" Valarie yelled

"Aaaah" I screamed gasping heavily "oh it was just a dream!"

"What?"

"The whole house was empty and Chadwick shot me!" I said

"Oh no! We have to be extra careful , anyway we have to go back to Mystic Falls , your uncle's phone will soon blow of messages from his workmates" Val said

"Okay , let's start going then "

David possessed my uncle and we set for Mystic Falls.

Minutes later we got to Mystic Falls and we arrived at home, it was like I was gone for years.

"We better put your uncle on his bed" David said

"Wow! I can't imagine my uncle slept for two days straight!"I said to Valarie but her face was all down " Valarie is everything okay" I said and she immediately burst into tears.

"Rain!" She said as she came closer to me and hugged me "I hope you forgive me" she said sobbing

"Of course I will ,you haven't done anything wrong " I said

"I'm sorry! " she said

"For what!?" I said

"I told matt everything" she said

" what do you mean by"I told matt everything!? " I said

"He threatened to eliminate the ones I love " she said as she continue to sob

"Valarie! Are you nuts! How could you have done such a thing!? I can't believe you right now! " I said ,yelling at her

"I said I'm sorry OK! " she said

"Wait! That's a brilliant idea !" I said

"What do you mean?" Valarie asked

"If Chadwick finds out we know about his secret , its either he stops this nonsense or he tries to kill us" I said

"How is that a brilliant idea?" She asked

"Don't worry,you'll see what I mean, but that doesn't mean I've forgiven you...yeah alright I forgive you but you should have told me " I said

"Yeah I'm sorry" she said then we both hugged

We all went to the diner for lunch, it was so cold and breezy ,typical winter, upon each tree born wand, naked from winter's rasp, come the buds of spring. Each tells of green leaves to come, or the sweet blossom within. Even as cold winds blow, they are such embryonic joy

Winter was my favorite time of the year,when I was younger my parents will dress me up as a snowman  and take my on ski diving , I loved it.

When the evening falls, we will all gather around our family cottage in the outskirts of the Falls , singing and dancing to the nightlight and fire stand.

"I know I'm definitely repeating the year" I said

"Not with my help  you're not, remember I'm the head of the student council, I can hack into the school system and change your report" val said

"Thanks Val but I prefer repeating the year , it's all for learning " I said

The crowd went on concentrating around the door side, then a group of unfriendly people accompanied my aunt .

"You're under arrest for the alleged murder of Matt Becker " a cop to me, holding my hand to be handcuffed

"What!? I didn't kill him! Val help! Help me!!"I said, creating a scene in the diner

" Sir she's innocent , leave her alone! "Val said as she tried to remove my hand from the cops hand

" Get away from him you skinny little brat!"my aunt said to Valarie "he was so nice to you! He protected you! He fed you! He gave a shelter! But that wasn't enough for you ! Hun! tell me! " she said , yelling on top of her voice

The cops took me to their office , series of questions were asked each one I didn't reply to.

"You think you're tough hun!" A cop said as he kept hitting me with a stick and using an hot iron on my body!

I cried, I yelled , I screamed , no one came for my rescue, I was being prosecuted for an offence I didn't make.

Soon afterwards , I was taken to the prison cell , surrounded by four white walls, there was nothing else to do but stare at them. To look at the paint that had started to chip off as time passed, or gouged by other prisoners - anything to pass time, slowly going mad, theorizing absurd meanings from the wall's blank stare.

Night fell leaving me lonely in the deserted prison cell , mosquitoes in the size of bears filled the room ,then I heard a large noise , I saw a man in a black hoodie  appeared and said

"Hop on my back I'm getting you out of here"

I was so curious that I acted so foolishly and followed him, he took me to an abandoned house in the outskirt of the Falls.

"Who are you and why am here? " I asked and the young man uncovered his hoodie and said

"I'm Harry Robinson!"
