DAVID'S POV

The sun shone brighter than wonted today, probably because it was "someone's" court day. I wasn't feeling like I used to , by body felt hotter than it used to, my risible felt so weak

“Yo David , what's up” Jocelyn - my closest friend said to me holding both my arms and swinging them in a left and right movement as I down bore my face

“Is everything okay?” she asked as she patted my  arm continuously

“I don't feel to good señorita ” I said calling her  the nickname that was given to her by me

“I've told you several times Dave, it's only Hispanic girls that are called that” She said

“Yeah I know, you look so much like one ”I said to her

“Anyways , why do you feel like poo?”she asked

“To be frank with you  señorita , I think it's probably because it's Rain's court day and...” I said

“And what!? ..... you still have feelings for her hun” She said as she turned her head the other way “Do you!” she said angrily as she stood up and walked away

I yelled her name severally but she didn't respond to it , so I decided to follow her , I ran after her and grabbed her arm , she kept trying her best to let go of my grip but she wasn't strong enough

“Leave my  arm alone!” she  ordered

“Jo , I'm sorry okay, I'm not  just in my best mood today, I'll try not to he a total jerk, please forgive me ” I said as I went down on my knees pleading for her forgiveness

“Do you still love Rain?” She asked

I didn't know what to reply her with , though I might not be in good terms with Rain but deep down I know I still love her, in order not to hurt Jo's feelings I decided not to respond to her

“Answer me David , Do you still love Rain!?”she yelled

Her words were already getting too much for me to bear “Yes I do ” I yelled

“I shouldn't have trusted you this whole time ”She said with tears dropping on the floor as she ran away

Few minutes later ,another buddy of mine came knocking on my door “Who's that?” I asked

“It's Bryce, retarded gobshite” he said as I opened the door for him to come in “Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today” He said

“Yeah I kind of did, Jo and I just had a fight...”i said “Let me guess, she asked you if you still like Rain ” he said , I nodded my head at him , then he said “ Bro if you still like Rain go for her and if you still want to stick with Jo , it's fine , all for your happiness ”

“Why do I have a feeling you're advising me wrongly ” I said jokingly 

“Well I'm sorry to burst your bobble dork! But his imperial majesty asked me to tell you to get dresses cause we'll soon be leaving for court ” he said then he went out of the room

I wanted to look my best for the event, I went through all the cloths I had but non of them seemed perfect for Rain , I was so confused and lost in thought , I finally decided to wear a black  top with a blue jacket and a black sneakers

I went downstairs to meet the others just as I was done with my montage - madness , everyone seemed to have gotten the court dressing wrong or maybe I was the one who got it wrong, they all dazzled in their white and black suits

“I look a dam sight different than you guys” I whispered to Bryce's ears

“I'm sorry David, I'm telling you this cause you're my best friend , Harrison had a meeting with all of us this morning and...” he said

“And what!” I yelled quickly in his ears

“He wants to kick you out of the squad” He said

“ Kick me out of the squad! Under what offence?” I said in anxiety

“He says you're too weak to become one of us , he was even thinking of killing you cause he knows you're going to spill our plans out if he just kicks you out like that ,my advise for you now is to leave your things here and run away , what ever you do or  go don't come across him , do you understand ” He said whispering silently in my ears

“Yeah, yeah ” I said  “Well what are you still waiting for, go! go!! go!!!” he said to me

I ran upstairs as fast as I could, I thought of the easiest escape root both they appeared to be non, except for one ; jumping through the window , I could hear Harrison's voice close to my room , I was so confused

The knob of the door was opening slowly ; Harrison had already come to kill me , I  threw three of my pillows down the window as  I accompanied them and ran away .
