Sally's POV

Apathy washes over me like heavy water, holding me to the ground and only letting some of the sunlight in. Under the blue there is nothing else that matters, nothing significant worthy of my time. Everything I do gets undone.

The sun rises and falls whether I move or not, days come and go. I know the feeling will lift when my eyes acknowledge the golden rays  from my window and treasure the birdsong. Then the water will recede allowing my lungs to fill with fresh air.

Then I will move fast to make up for such lost time, but in apathy there is time to think, time to know the right path instead of merely guessing. It wasn't like I was caught up with a cold or a flu but it sunk in me so deep , her presence meant everything to me, her crystal blue eyes , her long blonde hair, her soft velvet skin, In her I saw love , I saw comfort , I saw a feeling that makes me go nuts

I was attracted to Rain with the kind of heady trance that brings a butterfly to nectar. She was  just the right blend of shy and sweet. She was the kindest and most reliable person I have ever met.

She was more beautiful than the winter sun above pristine snow; she was  warmer than spring sunshine on soft new grass; she was more mesmerizing than the fall leaves. Yet for me what she truly was  is an eternal summer, for every day with her is perfect blue skies with love in the air. My attraction to her  wasn't because she was  beautiful, though she is but it was to her soul, to the wonderful person she was inside.

I kept thinking about Rain and what will happen in the court for hours and hours, to be honest,I was praying she would come back to the barrack and spend the rest of her life with me.

It was already time for something we call "the torture section", the soldiers matched us out of our rooms one after the other with a swagger stick hitting our backs each time we passed their front , they used an handcuff like material to chain our legs

We were first  asked to run round the camp ground for two hundred rounds, then we were asked to climb a net like material to a surface where we walked  through a thin rope with electric eels inside the little pool underneath it.

All these tasks were to hectic for me , I began to feel dizzy and ailing , I drifted into consciousness. And then back out. The world was a blur, and random images seemed to float aimlessly around in the pool of my thoughts, as though they were being blown about viciously by a hurricane.

A tap on my shoulder momentarily brought me back to the outside world, but after a second I was once again lost. I could feel somebody trying to look at me, staring dead in the eye, but I couldn't keep focus. The whole world simply felt low resolution, a bad quality movie.

Confusion blossomed in my heart and I knew that sooner or later it would lead me into more danger and to stare reality in the face. But for now I lay down my heavy head, and retreated into wallowing blackness.

“Hey! Listless wretch! What do you think you're doing  on the floor” Xavier - the most feared prisoner , said to me

“I...I...I...”i said stammering

“Well guess what....GET UP!” he said as he yelled at my face with spits coming from his mouth

“Wait till I tell the commander in chief ”He said ,  “ Yo commander , there's a lazy wrench lying on the floor” he said

The commander surprisedly didn't answer Xavier or either of us instead he was commanding the soldiers to get their weapons and head straight to the court , it was like there a problem, it caused commotion in the barrack and the camp ground .

Prisoners ceased that opportunity to escape, I wanted to run with them but I was to weak to stand up, the soldiers noticed some prisoners were running away so they had to  split up.

I prayed for an instant miracle to happen and so it did, Igor surprisingly ran to me and carried me on his back and ran away, we ran very far from the barrack.

Rain had already told me that she was going to reside at April's house so Igor and I headed for April's house.
