Christmas was finally here and Elise seemed to be more excited about presents than seeing everyone.

"Juh?" Elise practically hopped as she spoke, "Lindy?" She was pointing at the wrapping paper on the floor, where she just opened her gifts.

Savana rolled her eyes as she zipped up E's jacket, "Yes, baby. Uncle Josh and Aunties got you some gifts, but you can't focus solely on that today, okay? Be nice and say hi to everyone first, and be sure to use your nice words today." Savana stood up, "Do you remember your nice words,  E?"

She smiled sweetly before signing both please and thank you. She hurried out into the living room. "Dada!" She screamed and she looked out the door, banging her hands on it.

Michael was loading all the gifts into the trunk for everyone, leaving Elise's morning present mess in a semi-neat pile in the living room. She'd gotten some gifts from mom and dad, but everything else would pile up as long as the others were involved.

"You ready to go?" He asked as Savana walked out of the hallway. She nodded while placing a hand on her stomach while the other held Elise's hand out to the car. They loaded her in quickly and set off towards Josh's house, where everyone was currently waiting.

They got there, and Luke was first out the door to get Elise unbuckled and back into the house for present opening. Michael and Liam grabbed gifts out of the car, while Savana waddled into the house where she saw Ashton and Sierra already helping Elise open her gifts with delight.

Savana sat down next to Lindsay, who gave off an odd vibe, "Hey! Merry Christmas." Savana smiled, hoping to cheer her up.

"Oh, hey, yeah. Merry Christmas." Lindsay mumbled as she stared blankly at the three on the floor opening gifts.

Savana leaned forward, "You okay? You seem a little off."

"Yeah, I just," Lindsay hesitated, "I saw a little, um, blood down there this morning. It was only a light spotting, I guess, but I'm still a little worried."

"All honesty, it's probably just implantation bleeding. It happens to everyone, but if you're genuinely worried about it, you should see your OB." Savana whispered back.

Lindsay shrugged, "I just don't want to tell Niall because I know he'd just get worried, and I know he doesn't want that. Especially now that it's the holidays. It's just putting some stress on me, is all." She still seemed off about it.

"Oh! Uncle Vik got you a set of toy drums! I'm sure mommy and daddy will love that." Ashton smiled as he held it up.

Elise's eyes went a little wide and she hurriedly stood up and walked over to Vik and climbed up onto his lap, "Vik." She signed thank you, leaned forward, and hugged him before hurrying back over to Ashton and Sierra, already equipped with two gifts.

He looked over at Savana with a look in his eyes, and a hand over his chest. She smiled back at him, "I told her she had to use her nice words today."

"Yeah, but you didn't tell us it'd be that cute!" Simon shouted as he pointed at her.

"You gotta raise 'em cute, I guess." Michael shrugged as he sat down next to Savana and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

Later on in the day, everyone settled down at a large table for lunch. It was full of food, and everyone had a plate.

"I just want everyone to know that this has been one of the best Christmases in this household, and I'm sure that, with Elise, there will be many more to come." Ethan stood up as everyone else held up their glasses, Elise following suit with her sippy cup of juice, and toasted to an amazing Christmas.

The rest of lunch was almost peaceful, as if the rest of the year didn't matter any more. Savana's New Years emergency, Lindsay and Sierra's accident, both pregnancy surprises. It's as if all of it washed away in a moment of loving clarity. Everyone was together and happy. No one was harmed anymore.

It was gleeful.

After lunch, most of the guys separated to play video games. Josh and Michael deciding on going outside with Elise to play in her new electric toy car. The girls settled on a cup of coffee in the kitchen.

"How's it going over at your new place?" Sierra tapped Savana on the arm.

Savana finished her sip, "Really well. We've finally started to toss out boxes and get rid of whatever junk we don't need anymore, like E's old clothes. I've been getting a weird feeling in her room lately though, like there's a weird energy in there."

"You and your energy." Lindsay joked as she rolled her eyes, "What's changed?"

"That's the thing! Nothing's really changed. E got a little stomach bug and ever since then, it's felt different in there. It feels more," Savana waved her hand a bit, "fun. Like there's more Elise in there, you know?"

Both Lindsay and Sierra shared a look, "No, we don't know, but let us know if anything happens." Sierra shrugged as she took a drink.

"How's the new puppy? Is she getting alone with Callie?" Savana asked both girls.

The other two gave looks, "I don't think Callie's really used to a little puppy any more than when she was one, so it's kind of difficult to have them play together." Lindsay's voice hitched suddenly.

"Yeah, Callie doesn't really know how big she is compared to Anabelle, so it's hard for them to be outside together, especially when no one else is out there." Sierra said, obviously distracted by Lindsay. "You okay?"

Lindsay's eyebrows furrowed quickly and she stood up, "Y-Yeah, I just.. need to use the bathroom."

As she walked away, Sierra and Savana watched her walk away. There was blood soaking through her pants quickly.

"Lindsay," Savana called after her, "Never mind on the bathroom. Let's go to the urgent care, okay?" She hurried over to her friend as Sierra ran to Michael to grab her keys.

"O-Okay." Lindsay whispered faintly. "Let's go to the- the- urgent car-" She spoke as she fell in and out of consciousness.

Sierra and Savana loaded her in the car, and quickly drove off to urgent care. Sierra sent a quick text to Ashton and Michael.

'Something's up with Linds. Tell Niall that Savana forgot something at home or that we're running an errand. Will explain later.'
