Opening up

It was about a week and a half until the end of the term for Christmas and you and Tom's bet was coming to an end. Your score was 14-14, you were so determined to win however you had caught feelings for him and tried your best to kill them. One thing you didn't know was he had too.

In potions class you watched the way Tom focused hard and found so cute, Narcissa noticed and pulled you to the side.

"If you've fallen for him be careful please love" she whispered

"God damn it!" You yelled out

The whole class including Tom looked over, you glared at the girls and the boys who quickly looked away except for Tom who told you that you were funny, you smirked at him before Narcissa shook you.

"I'm sorry" you whispered

"Hopefully what you see changes"  she said.

As you made your potions with Tom you did it perfectly but so did he making both your scores now 15, as you were about to leave he stopped you.

"Can we talk" he asked

"Sure" you said

"Can we go to the courtyard"

"Mmk" you said leading the way.

When you got there you both sat at on the seats at the end where no one was, he put his book downs and faced you.

"Look Y/n, I...I'm not one to feel many emotions, always struggled...I've never known the feeling of butterflies in my stomach because...of a girl..." he said quietly

"Doing this potions thing with you and us getting closer, I don't know what to say but-"

You cut him off

"You like me! Hahaha" you said pulling him into a hug

"I never said that"

"You were going to though, but that's ok because guess what" you said

"What?"

You gave him a peck before running away

"I like you too!" You whisper yelled to him

You saw a smile grow on his face as he ran up to you and give you a hug. In that moment you saw another vision, a happy one.

You saw Tom, he was standing in a kitchen grown up, a little girl around the age 2 or 3 ran in calling out daddy. As he kissed the girl you saw yourself, walking in and hugging Tom and the girl noticing the wedding rings on your fingers. It was your family.

You looked up to Tom who was smiling down and told him he would lose the bet and ran away. He lead you too the library where you both sat studying, as you started to talk Tom opened up to you.

"I was sent to an orphanage by my mother who died shortly after, my father had left...pathetic muggle, leaving my mother heartbroken and me angry" he said

You saw why he was so angry and felt nothing but sympathy, you saw a girl using her new big flash camera and grabbed it off her telling her you'd give it back, you took a photo of you missing him then got the girl to print it out.

A few days later she gave you the photo, you ran to Tom snatching his diary. You stuck the photo into his diary and smiled holding his hand. After that you both went to separate classes , as you walked to defense against the dark arts a Ravenclaw approached you.

"Stop hanging out with Tom" she said coldly

"What's your name?" You asked

"Maria"

"Well Maria, I'd watch it if I was you"

"Tom Riddles to good for you, he needs someone like me, smart, wise, someone who can keep up with him" she said stepping closer

"I passed all my classes and Tom failed one"

Maria stood there shocked as the words had been pulled out of her and smashed into a tiny little ball of nothing.

"I don't care, I'm much better for him and I'll prove it!" She hissed

"Try me" you spat at her before she walked away.

As you walked into defense against the dark arts Remus gestured you over.

"Tom Riddle manipulates hun" he said

"Its not like that, I saw another vision, it was of me and him with our son" you smiled

"Prophecies change and so do emotions"

"Look, I understand you care love, I do but it's ok"

"So has he told you about when he was a little kid?" Remus's face turned serious which made you worry

"About what?"

"When he was a boy, he lived in an orphanage and in that orphanage he picked on the kids once he discovered who he was, however one day he showed these powers to a boy and a girl" he stopped, looking around

"Well?" You asked

"He forced them into a cave and did unspeakable things, those two kids are unable to say what happened because of how bad it was. They have post traumatic stress disorder Y/n." he finally said

You went quite and thought about what he had done but for some reason you didn't care.

"Remus, I don't know if I care, I know it's horrific but...I think we're in love...he's a better person now" you said strongly

"Ok, please be careful though. Oh also James is trying to get Lily Evans now"

You both laughed and even though Remus told you those horrible things about Tom, you were still excited about the Yule ball.

The next day Narcissa and Bellatrix dragged you out of bed and took you to go get a dress for the ball. Narcissa was going with Lucius, Bellatrix with Redolphus and you with Tom.

"Do I chose the white or the blue or the black or the green or the red or the-" Narcissa said before Bellatrix cut her off

"None of those, they look disgusting. Try this one"

Bellatrix handed Narcissa a purple dress, it had lacey straps, it was v cut and flowed whenever she walked.

"I love it!" She screamed hugging you two

"What's yours Bella?" You asked

Bellatrix got changed and came out to show you what she was wearing. She wore a black dress that covered her feet, the back of the dress had straps crossing over each other exposing her back. Then they got you to show yours.

You came out if the changing room wearing a dark green strapless dress, it had a slit where you leg was, it was a tight dress but breathable.

"I think we're ready for Friday!" Narcissa laughed.
