The attack

I found myself next to Bill Weasley, we had grown close after I showed my ambition to become a curse breaker like him. However right now was not a joyous or fun moment, Ron was preoccupied, more death eaters seemed to arrive. I stuck by Bill's side ready for a fight.

"Hello niece," Rodolphus smiled at me his revolting teeth glaring into my soul.

"Just because your married to Bellatrix doesn't make you family!" I spat back causing Bill to laugh.

Fernir let out a growl, it made me shake. I wouldn't let him see it, but that gross were wolf man scared the living daylights out of me,

"I like them young," Fernir Grayback hissed at the Rodolphus,

"Bella will have me and you dead if Merope's killed, just take the red head, he's fresh." Rodolphus said,

Bill gripped his wand when suddenly Grayback pounced on him, I went to get him off when Rodolphus stunned me. I got up and disarmed him, but clearly Rodolphus was determined to get me to Bellatrix for some stupid reason. He punched me in the face, I felt the blood seep out of my nose and lip, it burnt, felt as if someone had rubbed lemon into a cut. I stood back up and kneed Rodolphus in the stomach only to be thrown back and lose grip of my wand. He kicked me in the face bruising my eye when suddenly Luna came over,

"Alarte Ascendare!" She shot at both Fernir and Rodolphus making them fly up in the air before they ran away. I heard them laugh about what just happened.

"Are you ok Merope? Your eye is rather swallon," Luna asked helping me up,

"We need to get Bill to Madame Pomfrey, he's been attacked by a werewolf!" I said quickly.

Luna gasped before helping me lift Bill. The only problem was I was in pain, my face was already swollen. I couldn't see out of my right eye. I could barely speak as my bottom lip was giant. Bill was starting to wake up, he left a trail of blood behind him, his face was mauled. Flesh had opened up so I could see into the other layers of his flesh. Luna seemed to be suddenly serious however Ginny ran over and took Luna's place who helped Neville up.

"What happened?" Ginny asked worried,

"Ferna Graybeck, he attecked Bill." I explained, best I could with my fat lip and bleeding nose. Ginny nodded,

"Are you ok?"

"Other than in pain, em perfect." I tried to joke but it hurts when I laughed,

Finally we reached Madame Pomfrey and I filled them in on everything that happened, she put me in the bed next to Bill. The bone under my eye had broken, apparently not a clean one. My nose was fractured and my lip was split. Madame Pomfrey was worried I might go blind in the eye but turned to bandage Bill, I sat up as Bill began to groan and thrash around. Me and Ginny held him down before he stopped and heard screaming outside. I ran out to find Dumbledore dead at the bottom of the Astronomy tower.

I felt my heart sink, this pain overthrew the physical pain I felt in my cheek. I began to cry as the rest of school came, Tyler ran up to me, he too crying but trying to look after me noticing my broken face. His Hufflepuff girlfriend Vienna showed up next to him, Blaise Fred grabbed your shoulder, he had just showed up. There were a few screams and chatter. Cho began to cry, the Patil twins screamed, Dean and Seamus stayed quiet silently observing when Harry walked through the sea of students crying. Harry clutched onto Dumbledore's lifeless body, he cried loudly as the whole school went silent. Ginny went down next to him and held Harry in her arms as he sobbed onto her shoulder. Professor Mcgonagall raised her wand in the air lighting 'Lumos,' then Hermione, then Ron, the me and Fred until the whole school did so. I wanted to cry, but again I kept my cool.

I ran back to the hospital wing with Fred to find mum, dad and Tyler. Mum grabbed me cupping my face, dad and Tyler hugged me tightly, we were all scared.

"Who did this!?" Dad asked angry examining my face,

"Rodolphus, mph." I said while Tyler stroked my back,

"That mother-"

"Tom! Calm down." Mum said cutting dad off.

The door swung open and the whole Weasley family except Fred, Geroge, Ron and Ginny. Mrs Weasley ran in with Fleur gripping onto Bill whose face was covered in bandages. Harry seemed to be numb, I sympathized. First Cedric, then Sirius, now Dumbledore. What life was he living, what life were we living. Tonks stood next to Remus as you observed the awkward fight between Fleur and Molly.

"You theenk Bill will not want to marry me, not love. Because of these bites!? He will, whether you like it or not!" Fleur demanded at Mrs Weasley

"No that's not what- I know he will, but i just thought-"

"You theenk I don't want him!? Or oped I don't want to!? Well I do! I love him!" Fleur yelled again,

There was awkward silence before they made up and began to cry hugging eachother over Bill's body, when a strained sore voice spoke.

"You see, she still loves him." Tonks said,

"It's different, Bill won't become a werewolf, the case is completely different-"

"But I don't care! I don't care! I've told you a million times!" Tonk interrupted now grabbing the front of Remus's shirt as he looked at the ground.

"And I've told you a million times, that I'm too old and poor for you. You deserve someone young and whole," Remus said avoiding eye contact as I looked at Tyler not knowing what else to do.

"Your taking a ridiculous take on this Remus." Molly said sitting up while still hugging Fleur

"It's not ridiculous, she deserve someone young and whole,"

"But she wants you," Arthur added

"And young and whole men, do not necessarily remain so." Arthur gestured to Bill lying on the bed asleep.

"This isn't the time for discussion," Remus said shutting everyone down until mum and dad interrupted.

"But it is, life is so precious. Tonight has proven that," mum said looking at Remus who just shook his refusing to listen.

"Remus, you deserve your happy ending. Like me and Y/n, Arthur and Molly, Bill and Fleur and everyone else here. You don't deserve to be alone on anymore fullmoons. Sirius is gone, James is gone, Peter is gone, you need to have someone with you, and Tonks is that person for you. She always has been." Tom said pulling Tyler close who was still crying over Dumbledore's death.

"You deserve happiness, you most of all." Mum added smiling weakly,

He and Tonks then walked outside to talk while I stayed with the Weasleys and my family. It was eerie that night, the horror of Dumbledore's death was still embedded in my head, Harry sat still looking numb while Ginny sat by his side, I in a chair next to Fred with his head on my shoulder as I stroked it when Vienna the Hufflepuff girl came to find Tyler.

The next Dumbledore's funeral took place. Again it was sad and eerie, I sat again with Fred and George and Angelina Johnson. I noticed Harry walk off and Ginny sit down.

Later mum, dad and Tyler went home with me where it was still kinda quiet but we had to talk about what to do. The next holidays were different, she had grown stronger, Bellatrix. Most nights I sat in Tyler's room reading and often falling asleep in his room, we never slept away from each other as if we were two babies. We recieved an invitation to Bill and Fleurs wedding, however we had to go earlier as Mad eye came up with a plan to get Harry safely out of Private drive. We packed our stuff and found ourselves in the Weasley kitchen the night of Harry's escort out of the muggle town. That day was grim, very grim.
