Inside Merope stood in the kitchen admiring her son, Tom stood there as well while you and the others circled around eachother awkwardly. Merope watched Tom as he looked out the window,

"You look like your father," she smiled,

"I know. I've seen him." Tom said hesitantly, but surely.

"Oh, I see. Is he doing well?" Merope asked weakly trying to smile.

"Lonely...he misses you. A lot."

Merope scoffed at what Tom said, she thought he was going mental. As she began to laugh, Tom smiled, seeing the true beauty she held in her smile.

"Its true, ask them." Tom laughed,

"It is, we were there when he admitted it." You said,

Merope looked at you, she examined your features before smiling. She told Tom he was very lucky to have you before standing back in her little corner of the kitchen and watching Tom look outside. There was nothing to do to really, Merope was a ghost and everyone felt awkward to make themselves a tea or something in another's house. However Merope lifted a peace of paper freaking everyone out, Peter flinched and Bellatrix did so too. No one had ever witnessed a ghost have the ability to touch, or pick something up.

"This is a photo of you and I, the day you were born." She said handing it to Tom,

He took it but was also a bit weirded out that his ghost mother could lift a physical thing without a problem.

"How can you lift the paper?" Tom asked nervously,

"I taught myself, my spiritual body is essentially a physical one when I focus hard enough, like a patronus." Merope explained, Remus wrote this on his hand.

Tom nodded, this was very knew. Was it magic you all wondered but reframed asking as she looked outside watching the butterflies fly into trees avoiding the rain. You all stood there for a moment before Merope asked you all to sit down. She smiled at you as Tom grabbed your hand and you kissed his forehead.

"Thank you," she said beaming with joy.

"Thank you for looking after my son, you've cared for him well."

You smiled back before Sirius and Regulus pulled kissy faces at you, making you roll your eyes. Merope seemed very calm but everyone was still weary of the possibilities. She could be a form of dark magic, or maybe not.

"Its true what I said, that Dad loves you." Tom said again, Merope's smile changed into a confused smirk.

"That's an interesting thing to say. It does feed into my fantasy I suppose, that does make me smile too. But I'm afraid your father was just saying that, he probably just wanted to be on good terms with his son." Merope said trying to convince you all it was nothing.

"He saw you last week, but apparently after you saw him you ran away," Tom said sitting forward.

Merope looked at him with worry in her eyes. After a moment she took a deep breath and stopped smiling,

"So what?" She scoffed Rowling her eyes and trying to stop her tears.

"Why are you afraid of him?" Tom asked

Again Merope stopped, this time taking yet another letter from a box on the side table next to her seat and handing it to Tom,

"You may read it out." She said once more smiling.

Tom slowly opened the letter, he pulled you close and you leaned over. He cleared his throat before reading.

To Merope,
I suppose you deserve an answer about everything. So here it is, I don't care about your half blood child, however if he proves powerful I will think on meeting him. But by your magical ability I'm assuming he'll be horrific or even a squib! Besides that, I know that your husband has been given Armontentia, you had a knack for potions. I'm assuming from loneliness, anyway what I'm saying is he doesn't care about you at all. He never will, he will hate you once you take him off that potion, your too ugly, pale, broken for him. He may be a muggle but he's handsome and you have nothing he'd want with that ugly face of yours. The only time I will ever see you is if your child is powerful and worth putting the half blood beside. But if I get another letter about your muggle boy, I'll come over to your household and kill him on the spot. If I want, I'll kill you too.

Marvolo.

Tom gave the letter back, everyone was shocked. Tom stiffened up until you kay your head on his shoulder causing him to relax a bit.

"That is why I've been avoiding your father." Merope said calmly

"But he can't do anything, he's old now." Tom replied confused,

Suddenly there was a creak on the stairs, they turned around to see Lily had just appeared with news from the Ministry that seemed to be like a message from god. You went over and greeted her, she had a smile on her face which made you all feel a but uneasy.

"Marvolo! He's dead!" She said,

"Dumbledore sent me."

Merope stood up knocking over a glass on the table making Lily flinch, again it was knew to see a ghost capable of doing physical things.

"How?" Merope asked stepping forwards, again Lily flinched a little bit.

"Apparently...he...he uh...he uh didn't know where he was apparating and they kinda found his head in America and found his body, here. In the uk,"

You frowned, what a horrific way to die. However he deserved it, he really did. Merope stood there not knowing what to do until she grabbed Tom and hugged him. Tom didn't think he would ever be able to hug his mother but he did. He started to cry a bit as Merope reassured him how much she loved him, shushing his cries. You filled Lily in as she looked a but confused. Merope let go and spoke,

"About your father, I only hope one day I'll meet him and-"

"He's on his way." You interrupted,

"What?" Merope asked with a shocked face,

"He should be here next week, for you. To see you, he loves you." Sirius mentioned being the first person to talk other than you or Tom.

"Well, I believe have to believe you now. But my son, it's time for you to return to school."

"But I only just got here," Tom said confused and saddened

"I know, however it's different now. I'll send you letters, presents. You'll be here for your holidays, happy and hopefully with your father too. We'll be a happy family, trust me." Merope said grabbing her son's hands lightening his mood.

"Promise?" Tom asked

"Promise!" Merope smiled kissing her son's head.

She gave you all books before packing you all some snacks. She kissed her son on the head once more, she then said goodbye and you disapparated you all back to Hogwarts. Tom seemed extra happy as you all waited outside the gates for Dumbledore. Not 30 seconds later he showed up that the gates, he greeted you all but thought it best not to hold you up as it was late now. He sent you back to your common rooms.

It was weird being back at Hogwarts. When you had reached the entrance to the Slytherin common room you had forgotten that Sirius, Remus, Peter and Lily couldn't come in with you. You, Bellatrix, Narcissa and Tom gave the other four some hugs tearfully. The journey had ended, it was done.

However that night you made one more prophecy, this one more worrying as it was about a person who you were so close with. It was about Bellatrix.

She sat in a chair, almost a throne. She had people standing by her side but this time there were no symbols simply her, a flag and sign writing
'MUGGLE BORNS STEAL MAGIC!'
Bellatrix seemed dangerous, and it was clear. Tom was no longer the worry, he was now the good guy. It was Bellatrix you had to worry about.

The next day after informing Dumbledore everything changed between you and the black sisters. You distanced yourself, only hanging out with Tom, Sirius, Lily and the others. Regulus seemed to do the same as you. After you graduated, things changed again drastically and Bellatrix cut ties with you, Andromeda being the only Black sister to check in with you. You and Tom bought a little apartment together allowing Regulus to flat with you.

You had now joined the order against Bellatrix, it was hard but you did along with Tom, but you were given the hardest task of all.

You found yourself at malfoy manor, wand in hand, hood up. Once the foot steps approached and the door opened you a deep breath.

"Y/n!?" Said a sweet, soft  familiar voice,

"Hello Narcissa, been a while."
