Chapter 13- Someone new

Mates POV

"Alpha you've been in here for 5 months and haven't slept in your room once, it's not healthy." One of the pack doctors that mostly care for the top rank wolves said.

"Thank you for your concern doc but as long as she's here I'm here." I said looking up at him with my red eyes and purple bags.

"Whatever you say Alpha." He said turning and walking away. Normally a pack member wouldn't speak to me like that but I've known him for a very long time and he has earned my respect and friendship.

After my beautiful mate who I believe is named Sapphire was injected with the poisons she's been in a coma ever since, the doctors say that there is no possibility that she should've lived through that but some unusual phenomenon had kept her alive. The doctors and elders also called many different packs near and far, asking if they've seen anything like this situation but we only got one thing from every single pack we called. They said that only the white wolf would be the only one to survive that but I don't really believe that, it was probably a miracle.

The white wolf is The Moon Goddesses daughter and has unimaginable powers that nobody knows about because nobody has seen one for over 1000 years. Why would The Moon Goddess give me something so powerful? It doesn't matter anyways because she's perfect, powers or not she's perfect, her silver hair is so soft and shiny, with her short height but obviously skinny from being tortured for too long in that prison. Darren, John and Tom had MY mate locked away for 5 goddamn years without even telling me they found a rogue in the first place. The doctor said she has scars all over her body from silver knives being dug into her skin but she also has.... self harm scars and I can't be sure if Darren did that. Anyways I'm going to keep sitting here waiting for my beautiful mate to wake up.

Sapphires POV

I've just been sitting in darkness for what seems like forever ever since my parents left. I don't think my body is ready to wake up now or my parents were wrong and I actually did die but I don't think they were. I have just got back in touch with two of my senses and it is sound and smell. I can hear my heart rate monitor beeping and doctors talking to other doctors along with a strange yet comforting voice right next to me. I can smell that scent from the last time I was awake but I can also smell the cleaning products they use to clean the floors.

I'm starting to get in touch with my eyelids but they're just so heavy I can just barely open them! I want to so bad! Come on please I need to wake up I can't stand this any longer, and just like that my eyes shot open and right next to me was the most beautiful man I've ever seen. He had brown hair with a tall muscular build. He was just lying there asleep in the chair, is this my second chance mate? Maybe. I can move my body now but it's just so painful, I need to sit up though I just can't lie down anymore.

I started to sit up and nobody seemed to notice me. Ok good... this is good! I can move and it doesn't hurt too much, I need to get out. I look to the edge of the bed and I see a set of girl clothes, I guess they were waiting till I woke up. I quietly took off all the wires and made my way out of bed and I won't lie it hurt a lot but I NEED to get out of here. Trust no one. I grabbed the clothes and considering there was nobody around besides this sleeping dude I got dressed right there super fast. Luckily, there was a blue scrunchy in the pocket of the hoodie I put on. So I tied up my greasy hair in a high ponytail and started slowly making my way to the window carefully trying not to draw attention to myself and trying not to get hurt.

I open the window and thankfully we were on the first floor so I just climbed out easily. I realized I was in no rush and just did a slight speed walk away from the house to the closest neutral land territory that I could remember but suddenly my wolf started going crazy.

What is it?

Mates awake! Let's go see mate!

Trust no one Lexi, that only gets us hurt.

He's getting worried, he's sad, he's sending guards.

Shit well ok um I'm going to take off these clothes and roll around in the dirt to hide our white fur so we look normal, DO NOT TELL HIM ANYTHING DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?

Lexi then got off our link, I feel bad for snapping at her and I understand she's still incredibly weak and it's difficult for her to speak with me. I just can't risk anyone finding out about us and causing a threat to this innocent pack.

I quickly took off the clothes and shifted which was very painful but I held in my screams. I then took the clothes in my mouth while I rolled in the mud. Ok let's go, I started jogging to the border but I started smelling wolves... no not wolves I mean wolf and I bet you can guess who it is. That random dude. I look behind me to find him there and he honestly looks hurt but I'm sorry sweetie it's for mine and your own good. I would just get him and his pack in danger anyways because of the reasons my parents told me.

I started going faster and he followed along, then I went faster then he did the same and this happened continuously until we were both going incredibly fast running side by side and I found my body in tremendous pain. I keep running though, the Goddess blessed us with this mate and in no way am I going to put him and his pack at risk because of my own selfishness of wanting a mate!

Please slow down little mate.
