Sapphires POV

Please slow down little mate.

Shit, if what my parents said was true and I was the most powerful being alive I don't want to sacrifice a whole pack just for my own needs of a mate that would just be selfish.

Out of nowhere I was tackled to the ground, while trying to regain focus I noticed that there was the smell of alcohol and dirt, which only means on thing, Darren.

Thought you could get away? Why do you do this to yourself if you know you'll always lose?

I was pinned and trapped underneath this man while he came in close to my neck and started sniffing me. He was going to mark me.

This will only hurt for a second darling.

He bared his teeth at my neck and slowly sinking his fangs into me, when a very loud Alpha growled and jumped on top of him, pulling him off me and ripping out his throat. After he was finished, he looked back over to me where I was whimpering from the pain of where Darren started to sink his teeth in, he didn't finish so I wouldn't be marked but fuck that hurt.

Little mate, are you ok?

He asked walking closer to me and lying down next to me. He started licking the blood off my fur as the wound healed.

Good he didn't mark you.

Well he had 5 years to Alpha so thanks for saving me?

He just growled again looking at me. Great another abusive man to add into my life full of rejection.

I'm sorry little mate I didn't mean it, we're just angry he touched you like that or touched you in general. Can you please shift for me?

I ignored replying to him and shifted, He was already standing there shirtless in a pair of basketball shorts. Woah.

"Hi." He said taking a couple steps closer towards me but I didn't reply.

"I'm Grayson." He said taking another couple of steps forward and I just kept looking at him straight faced.

"Why aren't you talking?" He asked getting somewhat agitated but I just shook my head and turned my body towards the pack house to start walking back, I might be hard head but I know when to give up.

"Am I doing something wrong?" He asked and I just grumbled in reply. He's not doing anything wrong it's just I've been hurt by every person who has come into my life other than my parents and last time I checked he isn't one of my parents.

"Please talk to me." I just looked at him slightly, I am definitely not getting hurt again especially from ANOTHER Alpha.

It was a silent walk to the pack house, he finally gave up realizing I just wasn't going to talk. He still was walking fairly close to me and every so often he tried to get closer but I would just speed up my pace a little bit, keeping a small gap between us.

"Stop getting closer to me." I said coldly, even though all I want to do is be in his arms and tell him my life story. No stop it Sapphire.

"Why little mate? We're destined for each other." He said hurt obvious in his voice but just like the other times I didn't reply.

We made it back to the pack house and I walked in with everybody staring at me. I don't care, I think i'm used to the stares at this point.

"Bedroom" I told him letting him guide me to a room.

"This is your room" I said to him

"I know, we're mates that's what mates do." He said with a cocky smirk, I think I know what type of person he was before he met me, just like Landon.

I walked out of the room and ran into an omega.

"Excuse me where are the guest bedrooms." I asked politely giving her a smile.

"Right here Luna." She said opening a door and bowing her head. Fuck I'm a Luna? I'm just a bigger danger to this pack. How did I not remember this?

"Thank you ummm Rose, please call me Ang... Sapphire, please call me Sapphire." I said about to use my real name.

"Ok Luna Sapphire may I be excused?" She asked. Why does she need to be excused?

"Girl go do whatever be your own person, I give you permission." I said lowly whispering the last part. She looked at me out of complete happiness and surprise.

"Thank you so much Luna oh I mean Sapphire sorry." She said.

"It's fine, scurry along now" I said shooing her away and walking into my new bedroom.

I'm going to get out of here one way or another. They can't find out who I am, what I am, and how dangerous I am.
