Chapter 28~The Sacrifice

The brightness that filled the room slowly disappeared,adam was on the other side of the room holding his arm tightly.

As for the demon king he was scratched but that much,he smirked and then swung his scythe down as a powerful crescent purple shape blade attack flew fast towards adam.

"Good bye my dear nephew.."

"Oh i don't think so uncle!"

He replied and with his strength he swung his sword down towards the ground,where waves of lightning counter attacked the demon king's attack.

Patch returned to the chamber with the core,where everyone was waiting patiently clarissa rushed over to him when he returned.

"Patch your back but where is adam?"

She asked him but he looked down in silence clutching the core in his hand,everyone went silent he then walked over to leah and placed it onto her chest.

"Will you be able to have this enter her body oliver?"

Patch asked him in which oliver hesitated,but he nodded he walked over to leah after taking the core and placed it onto her chest.

"Leah..i am sorry i could not protect you..i am so useless..."

Patch mumbled softly to himself clutching his fists tightly as he looked leah just laying there,lucinda walked up and hugged him tightly from behind.

"Don't blame yourself patch.."

She reassured him softly,he nodded slightly then thanked her oliver began to chant as his hand began to glow brightly so did the core.

Everyone watched in silence,but then all of a sudden felt the room shook heavily but oliver kept his composure and carried on.

"What on earth was that!?"

Erick asked loudly and surprised,something told them that it wasn't good at all.

"Tch..oliver continue the process i will go and check it out"

Patch said but cole and nathan stopped him,then told him that they will go and check it out.

"I am going aswell these two are going to need all the help they can get"

Lyra grinned as patch hesitated but nodded but told them to becareful,the three of them grinned and left the room.

"Please becareful..you three..."

Clarissa whispered wishing for their safe return,the three headed to the throne room as they arrived they could see the room in ruins.

"Adam!"

Lyra shouted as she spotted adam's body on the ground but the demon king was nowhere to be seen,the trio hurried over.

"Your to late he is gone!"

A voice called out the three stopped and looked around wondering where the voice was coming from,but then all of a sudden out of nowhere the trio were hit by a dark orb and was sent flying into the wall.

"Argh!!"

The three yelled and fell to the ground being heavily hurt,the demon king appeared infront of them as his appearance has change into his true form,wings like a bat,fangs and claws like a dragon but his horn and tail stayed the same.

He smirked and leaned down and picked up lyra by the neck,as he began to squeeze her neck she began to struggle to breathe.

"Lyra!!"

Cole and nathan shouted as the both of them gotten to their feet,panting heavily both charged towards the demon king and clutched onto him.

"Hahahaha what can you two do you are pathetic!"

"More then you think the princess will defeat you..."

Nathan replied as he body began to glow along with cole's,both looked at lyra with a soft smile.

"Cole..nathan...no don't use it please..."

"Lyra..look after everyone for us even the princess.."

She begged them but cole replied with a smile,both closed their eyes as their bodies began to glow brightly.

"W..what is going on!?"

The demon king threw lyra to the ground,as he began to struggle trying to remove the both of them.

"It all ends here for you...!!!"

Brighter and brighter their body shined until their was a explosion of bright light.

"NOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

Lyra yelled as tears fell down her cheeks,with their mission done the bodies turned into core's one red and one purple then silently fell down infront of lyra.

"Princess..leah..accept the very last of our energy..."

The cores glowed brightly as their energies shot out of the cores through the ceiling,as it headed towards leah.

"Thank..you....."

The two cores said and then the brightness glow vanished from it making them completely useless.
