Dick, Wally and Roy sat at a table, giggling as they told stories. "So anyway, Barry is helping Wally with his phasing, and tells him to go through the door. But, he didn't know Iris was coming. So Speedy Gonzales over here runs, and right before he hits the door, she opens it." "My face looked like it had been mauled by a bear." "So did my hands."

Wally sighed. "I give! Why the hell do you have all the depressing stories?" "One, language. And two, my backstory practically screams depressing. I just happened to know how beautiful I am and kept my sanity." Dick joked, crossing his arms. "No fair. I'm going to one up you one day." "I doubt it."

"Ok, while I love the fact that you two idiots are reuniting, we need to talk about something." "Public something, or dark closet in my room something?" "Dark closet. We need to slip out." "We may have to wait, Roy. This gala was hosted so people could learn at Bruce Wayne's new son, remember? I can't slip out, or people will panic."

Dick sat his head in his arms. "I have the fact that you can't slip out. We could play video games, or something." "I know. It'll be easier once I'm around more. People will get used to me, and my presence won't be as important."

"Is there somewhere else we can go?" "People usually avoid the corners, as the big celebrities are in the middle." "That'll work. C'mon, act like we're just walking around." Roy got up, prompting Wally and Dick to follow.

They wandered around a little, sometimes stopping because someone decided to talk to Dick. He would usually plaster a realistic smile on his face and pretend to be had over heels for the women. Wally wouldn't admit it, but he was jealous of the girls. He wanted that attention for himself.

"Watch yourself, Kid Idiot. You'll turn green with envy." "Shut it." "Seriously, be careful. Some of these girls will rip your head off for even looking at Dick like that." "Like what?" "You get the goo goo eyes."

Wally blushed. "Ok, so maybe I'm a little jealous. You know that crush never went away." "I do. But something tells me Dick knows as well." Roy pointed over to where Dick was talking with a few of the girls in the party.

"So, why don't you hang out with us tonight? We can show you a good time." One of the girls purred, sliding her hand up his arm. "Thank you, but I've got a few friends I'm catching up with. I want to get back to where we used to be, before I moved." She pouted. "Shame. If you need me, here's my number." She slipped him a piece of paper and walked off.

Dick simply sighed and crumpled up the paper. "I will never understand girls." Wally smiled and threw an arm around Dick's shoulders. "That's why you only have to stick with us. C'mon, I think the elephant needs to be addressed."

They made their way to the corner, where they could talk privately. "So, what's going on Roy?" Dick asked, leaning against the wall. "You and Wally love each other." Dick and Wally blushed, looking away from Roy. Incidentally, they looked at each other.

"You two are trying to hide it, but you're not doing a very good job. Just admit it already!" Dick gripped his arms. "Do you…really like me, Wally?" The sight of it made Wally want to slam his head into a wall. Stupid Roy.

"…Yeah. I-I didn't want to put too much on you, especially since this or the guest we've seen each other in…" "Just shut up and come here." Wally stepped closer. Dick pulled Wally down and connected their lips, using Roy as a shield from the public eye. Wally's brain melted, unable to process the fact that he was kissing Bruce Wayne's oldest son.

When they pulled off, Wally was a bright red. "Careful, Dick. I think you might break him." "I think I have. Wally, you ok?" "That…was amazing." Dick blushed. "Alright, you two lovebirds. You're gonna have to tell Bruce, but start slow. Hold hands, stay close. Give him subtle nods. There's too many paparazzi here for you two to go and tell him."

Dick nodded, grabbing Wally's hand. Wally was just barely regaining thought. "You ok, Walls? D-did I go too fast?" "Hmm? No! No, it just startled me." Dick sighed. "For a second, I thought I had screwed up."

"No, just surprised me." "Let's go. People are getting suspicious." Roy pushed them out to the floor, smiling slightly. Dick chuckled as Wally scowled. "Don't ruin the moment, Harper." "Just get out there, you two." Dick smiled and squeezed Wally's hand slightly. Tonight went just as well as he imagined.
