Dick looked around the garden nervously. He'd come out here to shake the weird feeling he'd had all day, but it just seemed to be getting worse. He was sitting under a tree, the sinking feeling in his gut starting to increase. Bruce was watching from the window, concerned for his son. Something was going on.

Dick's head snapped to his left, where the sound of a snapping branch resounded. He backed up against the tree, shaking slightly. Why was he so scared? He flinched and grabbed his arm as another branch snapped, getting more fearful.

Two big, black eyes stepped out from the bush, watching Dick. When more of the creature revealed itself, it turned out to be Ace. "You gave me a heart attack, bud." Dick sighed and opened his arms. Ace walked over and plopped down in Dick's lap, letting the acrobat pet him.

Dick leaned against the tree, letting the Great Dane comfort him. After the threat at the gala, he was still shaken up. The way Markus had screamed, saying Dick only had daylight with Bruce. Dick hated it, he hated it all.

Another branch broke behind him. He pulled Ace to his chest and whimpered, his already sensitive hearing straining to hear what was going on. Ace seemed to recognize something and started growled, standing over Dick protectively.

Bruce had decided enough was enough, and went down to see Dick. It was when Ace started barking, and Dick screamed, then did he panic. He started running, timing through the halls.

When he got to the garden, he saw Dick on his side in the middle of the grass, Ace standing over him again. He didn't seem to be conscious. Markus stood with a gun of some sort, and three other men.

Dick had a dart in his shoulder. Two more in his thigh. There was still some sort of liquid in the dart on Dick's leg, Which was a purplish color. He was started to shake lightly, but shake nonetheless.

"Get away from him." Bruce growled, stepping forward. Markus and the others simply grinned. "We warned you, Wayne. You and the kid. We told you you didn't have much time left with each other, and you're not gonna have much time left with each other. Say goodbye, because this is the last you'll see of Richard."

Ace barked and crouched down, getting ready to pounce. He wasn't letting them touch his human. Bruce moved next to Ace. "Leave, or I will call the cops." "Richie over here needs a taste of the real world, Bruce. Something outside this safe little bubble you've given him. And I think we should start today."

Two of the other men rushed Bruce. He found that they were well trained, even for his Batman fighting. The other two went after Ace, and more importantly Dick. Ace tried to fight, but quickly earned a dart in his neck. The yelp was enough to let Bruce know Ace was going down.

Markus smirked and slung Dick over his shoulder. Bruce noticed and ran towards his son, having finally knocked the two men out. "Take care of him while I get Dickie over here to the airport." Markus instructed, knowing how difficult it was to take down his men.

Dick was trying to move. The drug hadn't knocked him out, but it paralyzed him. He couldn't even move his mouth. Markus smirked. "Just give up, kid. You're not going to be moving for a few hours. It'd be nicer for me if I just knocked you out. Maybe later."

Before Dick could comprehend it, he was being dropped. He looked through his half lidded eyes to see the back of a utility truck.  The door slammed shut, and Dick was left alone with his thoughts.

He tried saying something. Even a whimper, or a whine would do. But he couldn't. His vocal cords were dead. Tears came to his eyes as he realized there was no way out. The one time he'd truly found a home, and he was being taken away. He wanted to go back! Why couldn't they let him go back?

The truck started moving, and Dick couldn't hold them back. The tears started falling, with Dick having no control over them. It was just one after another, a silent cry. A silent plea, to go back home.

When the van stopped, and Markus came to the back again, Dick tried. He tried to move anything, to get out and go home. But it was of no use. Whatever drug Markus had used was strong. He held another syringe, a clear liquid in it. Markus injected it into Dick's neck and smirked.

Dick didn't understand why until his eyes started closing. He tried to fight, to keep them open. But he failed. Everything he tried, it just failed. His eyes closed, and Dick felt himself drifting off. I'm sorry, Tati. I'm so, so sorry.
