Chapter 4

"Thank you." said Officer Valdez.

After me having to cry my eyes out he took me back to my bed and I gave him a description of the man that had attacked me that night.

"You should get some rest sweetheart," he said

I nodded I laid my head back and my eyelids felt so heavy and I knocked out

"YOU ALWAYS SCREW UP. WHY WHY????!?!? BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE AND ALWAYS BE. A. SCREW. UP." She said.

"OH SORRY 'MOTHER' BUT YOU ARE THE ONE THAT DECIDED TO GET KNOCKED UP AND HAVE M-" before letting me finish my sentence I felt a hand slap me across the face I turn to see her holding my face into her hands. Her brown eyes staring at me with anger and frustration.

"DON'T YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT YOU WHORE!!!"

I ripped away from her grip "DON'T YOU SEE YOURSELF!! YOU BEAT ME EVERYDAY LIKE I WAS SOME RAG DOLL! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!!!!" I turn and ran outside.

I woke up and stood up then I groan at my ribs still hurt. Ugh, another nightmare/flashback I wiped my forehead noticing I was sweating and shaking. Even in my sleep, Christina haunts me. I had stopped calling her 'Mom' ever since I was 13. She never acted like one and she wasn't worthy of that title.

Then I heard the door creak I turn to see him and a petite nurse with blonde platinum hair and blue eyes.

But I couldn't help to turn back to him his jade-colored eyes still hold that concern and caring look. it was nice.

"Come on let's get you out of here." the nurse said.

"Thank god." I was happy getting out this hospital it gave me goosebumps. I hope I don't see that place in a long while.

We were walking out the hospital to the bright sun shinning out bright. God I hate the sun. Elizabeth would call me a vampire because of that because I would stay home reading books instead of doing outside activities. Then I remembered I gave a complete stop.

He stop his tracks to and said, "Whats wrong Olivia?"

"I-uh do you have my bag I left it back at the a.. park," I said not wanting to relive that again.

"Ah crap no I didn't sorry did you have something important in that bag?" He said.

"It's just I am going to stay at my friend house and I needed clothes and stuff and it was in that bag but its okay I will go at night to get my stuff. " Hopefully everyone will be asleep by then I am in no mood to face them right now.

"OH NO YOU DONT.," he said in a frustrated voice "I'll take you to your parents and you can get your stuff then."

"no, I won't ." I couldn't even explain to him how me going to that place at this time looking the way I look but I couldn't go to Christina's at day she might be there.

"I'm going to take you," he said reaching up to get a hold of my wrist

"NO." I said backing up "And plus you don't even know where I live" can he drop it already.

And then he put a finger in the air and said "And that is where you are wrong the hospital had information and I got it so I am taking you home"

Oh crap no he can't take me there at least not yet Christina she still at home right no-. My thoughts were disturbed by Him putting his keys in.

I stopped them I grabbed his hand he looked at me weirded out. I tried to ignore the shocks he gave me.

"Please do not take me there. Well at least not yet Christina is still at home just let's wait till she leaves please?"

I looked at him and he gave me a stiff nod

I blew a huge breath of relief.

"Thank you," I said and I realized I still had my hand on his and took my hand back fast and I turn around to the window.

"At what time will she be gone?" he asked.

It was around 1 pm and she goes to around 5 pm.

" 4 more hours," I said. I turn to look at him "Don't you go to work today?"

"No day off," he said

"One more thing." he gave a quick nod so that I continue. "Thank you for everything you did last night I don't know how to repay you for saving my life."

"You don't have to repay me it's my job to protect people," he said

"Still thank you... for everything. I mean it."
