Chapter 10

"Adrian?" I said

"Yes?"

"Can you take me to Christina's."

He looked at me and said, "yeah sure hold on."

As we made our way I laid my head on the cool glass trying to supress the negative scenarios going through my head.

cool calm and collective.

We've arrived.

"Thanks again." I said closing my door and turning to walk to the house.

"Call me if you need anything okay. Here's my number" He said handing me a card.

I grab the card and gave him my best forced smile and he smiled back.

And I turn looking at the house "Okay Olivia you can do this. It's going to be fine." I mumble to myself and force to my head up and walked up the drive way and put my hand on the doorknob it was cold on my hand.

"Come on now you can't give up now." I said softly and turn the doorknob.

I walked inside and saw her.

She was drinking her coffee that was in her left hand while her phone was in the other. No shocker there.

Her brown damage hair was put up in a messy bun and she was wearing a purple blouse and jeans.

She turn her head towards me, and put down her coffee and phone.

"Well you finally crack and came back home no shocker there you were always so weak," she said and gave a quick laugh. "I'm guessing you got the money for the rent this month right?" She said.

"Well you see I got fired an-" I said till she interrupt me.

"Wait you got fired by a ice cream parlor now this is hilarious." she laughed again " I mean how pathetic are you, Olivia? seriously?"

Don't let her get to you come on keep your head up high.

I had gotten fired because I always showed up late. Not on purpose either I never had a ride so I would go late most of the time and my boss was sick if it.

"Well, I have 400 saved up." I have saved up for a car because I always asked Liz's for rides and I hated asking her always. But now that money belongs to Christina. Great. So much for saving up money. "I can just give that to you and you can let me crash here for this month and wait till I find a job a can give you the rest of the money for next month since school starting I need a place to stay so can I?" I said in a neutral tone.

She sat there considering if she would or not for a couple of seconds and said "Okay deal. If you don't have the money for next month rent you're out nobody lives in this house for free." and she grabbed her phone and left to the backyard.

"Oh thank god." I said I was thankful I didn't have to bother Elizabeth with staying at her place, even though she would always say she didn't mind it still bugged me.

I went up the stairs to my room and closed the door and set down the bag with the clothing from yesterday.

I went on my phone and texted Elizabeth.

Hey wanna go job hunting Christina let me stay but I need to pay up and since I got fired I need a job.

I sat my phone down on my bed and just sat there for awhile till I got a reply.

Oh okay I'll pick you up in 15 minutes? She texted back.

I got up decided to take a quick shower and get ready when I changed Into a pair of dark wash jeans and a white t-shirt and a pair of black combat boots. Did my make-up very minimal nothing crazy and grab my small bag and was ready.
