Dominik's POV...

"Dominik, no!" Scarlett stepped in front of the bastard only to get put behind him again. Who does this motherfucker think he is? I don't care if he's a detective I couldn't give a shit if he was the fucking president of the United States of America. I was about to pull the trigger until my phone rang, "What?!" I spat.

"Boss we have a problem with the shipment. We've been scammed."

"The fuck do you mean scammed?!" My blood was already boiling, I started to see red. "I'll be there in ten." I hung up the phone and lowered my weapon, though that was a mistake. Fucking bastard pulled his gun out and put me in hand cuffs. "When I get out, I promise I'll kill you slow. I won't have mercy even if you beg and kiss my shoes." I sneered.

"Good luck with that, you're going to be put away for a very, very, very long time." He said with a giant smirk.

"You get one call." I Rolled my eyes and dialed the number of my best and trusted friend, Logan.
"Hello? Yes, it's me. Listen to me I need you to break into Scarlett's house. Erase all traces of evidence against me on her phone, I've already done it to mine so don't worry about it. And follow that detective and destroy any files that fucking bastard has on me or any of us, if he has copies on his computer delete those too. I have to go I'm trusting you with this, don't fuck it up."

"Alright boss, don't you worry I'll handle everything."

Scarlett's POV...

I sat in the court room as nervous as can be, and I hoped and hoped that Dominik would be declared guilty so I could just live my life with my son in peace. I watched him almost the entire session, meanwhile he didn't bother to acknowledge my existence.
"I ask for Officer Cole Reed to present the evidence held against Dominik Levy." Cole stood up who looked green.

"What's wrong?" I whispered.

"Do you have your phone?"

"Yes, why?" I pulled it out and unlocked it for him then handed the phone over. "What's going on? Why do you need my phone?" He was scrolling through it like his life depended on it.

"Where's the messages? Did you delete them?" He asked.

"No, why would I do that? are they not there?" I felt like was about to fall and die on this floor when Dominik finally turned his head around and grinned.

"No, the -" He got cut off by the judge.

"Officer Reed? Are you going to present the evidence or not?" The judge asked.

"There's a problem your honor." Cole said clearing his throat.

"Well, what is it? We don't have all day?" The judge said.

"The messages, the evidence I was going to present to you, it's somehow erased. The files I had were also destroyed and I was counting on miss Grey to have the evidence in her device." Cole said disappointed as ever.

"Well then, since there is no evidence against Mr. Levi there's nothing to do but to let this man go free." The judge said, it was silent for a long moment till he slammed the gavel and declared him not guilty. My heart shattered, I stood up and started to yell.
