It has been a few days since Scarlett found out about her son. I was getting ready for work; I kept looking over to her. All she's been doing is laying in bed looking kinda dead.
I couldn't blame her but I couldn't watch this either. "Scarlett? Princess you should try moving around the house and stop calling in sick from work. Laying there being lifeless isn't healthy for you." I said sitting down next her her and caressing her cheek. My knuckles felt a little wet, she was crying again. "Look Sky, I know that this is hard and that you feel like you don't have the motivation to keep going but I promise it will get better. But first I need you to make an effort." All she did was look at me with her glossy eyes then looked away. This hurt me to see her like this. The worst part is that she is going to go visit her dead son today. I know very well that she isn't ready especially when she can even function right now.
At this point I didn't care if I was late for work. She was my top priority and her health is important.
"Come here baby girl." I stood up then lifted her up. I sat her up. I stood there staring at her with my arms crossed waiting for her to make a move but she just sat there like a statue. "Say something princess." I said bending down to her.
"I-I want to die." She said breaking into more tears. I shut my eyes trying to control myself from doing the same.
"Sky don't say that. You're not going through this alone. I'm here with you and if you die then I'll die with you." I said cupping her cheek and wiping her under eye with my thumb.
"Life has been so cruel to me. I don't want to do this anymore." She said falling forward into my arms and sobbing in my chest. I held her tight and began to rock her back an fourth a little bit so she would calm down.
Dominik has got what he wanted and broke her. He deserves death he doesn't deserve to be walking on this planet.
"Princess let me make a quick phone call and I'll be right back with you, it'll only take a minute I promise." I said, kissing her forehead.
"T-that's what you said about protecting us.." she said crying harder. I shut my eyes because she was right I was guilty of failing.
"I'll be back." I said taking out my phone and walking out the door, into the hallway.
"Hello?" Grayson asked a little confused about me calling.
"Hey Grey it's me." I said.
"What's up? Did something happen?" He asked.
"No everything is fine it's just-" I stopped and took a breath "I need you to do me a favor." I said.
"Yeah sure, what is it?" He asked.
"I need you to tell the boss I'm not going to be there today. I'll be there tomorrow because there is something important I need to take care of." I said.
"Yeah sure I'll see you tomorrow then." He said. I hung the phone up and walked back into the room. Scarlett was sitting on the ground crying. Her head was down and her arms were folded across her chest. It was a really bad image to look at, especially when it's the love of your life.
"Sky come here." I walked over to her and picked her up onto her feet.
"Cole I miss him, I miss Jason." She said sobbing.
"I know you do but we have to move forward. We have to get dressed.." I whispered.
"I don't know if I can do it Cole. I'm not strong enough for this." Scarlett could barely even speak. Every word that comes out of her mouth sounds unsteady, scared, and full of stutters.

...

It's been about two hours, Scarlett and I finished getting ready. It was raining pretty hard outside but that still didn't stop us from going to the funeral.
We got there it was just me and Scarlett who were there with the priest. The more we listened to him speak the more depressing it got. Scarlett couldn't control her emotions and I was starting to feel the same. When the funeral ended Scarlett still didn't want to leave.
"Why? Why did this have to happen to you?" Scarlett asked falling down to her knees not even caring about the wet grass. I fell to my knees with her and held her. She gripped the sleeves of my jacket and cried harder.
We kneeled there for a good ten minutes. My knees felt numb so I picked her and myself up from the ground.
"Scarlett we should get going." I whispered.
"No I don't want to leave him." She said sobbing.
"Sweetheart we can visit some other time. It cold out here and we are all wet. You're gonna get sick." I said.
"Let me get sick and die. I want to be with my son anyway." She said.
"Scarlett please stop talking like that. Please listen to me." I pleaded. She didn't say anything she just listened and walked with me to the car.
...

"You want anything to eat?" I asked.
"No." She whispered.
"Drink?" I asked.
"I don't want anything." She said.
"Okay you should change into some fresh clothes. You haven't eaten anything in all day so even though you don't want to, you're gonna eat. I'll call you when everything is done." I said giving her a kiss on her head.

Scarlett's POV...
Couple months later...

It's been a while since Jason had died, I've learned to deal with it but it doesn't mean the pain is completely gone. I miss him even though he was with me for only a few months. I was getting ready for another date with Cole. He told me to look really good for this one because it's special I think. He didn't tell me why this was so special but I'm going with it.
As I walked down the stairs in my long, silk, red dress Cole watched me and it looked like he was very impressed which caused a small smile to form on my face. He looked really handsome too.
"Wow. I didn't think it was possible but I guess so." He said.
"What?" I asked blushing.
"I didn't think you could be even more gorgeous than you already were but I was wrong." He said.
"Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself." I said blushing like crazy. He gave me a one sided smirk and lifted his arm out at me so I can take it.
"Shall we?" He asked.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked.
"It's a surprise." He said.

...

"A private jet?" I asked with wide eyes.
"Yeah. Do you like it?" He asked.
"How?" I asked.
"Grayson helped me out a little." He said chuckling.
"So are you gonna tell me where we are going now?" I asked.
"No. You'll see when we get there." He said kissing my cheek then pulling me inside.

...

It's been like an hour or two and he's till keeping where we're going to himself. I was beginning to feel impatient until I looked out the window and gasped. I couldn't believe the location I was flying over.
"Paris?! You took me to Paris?!" I said squealing. I jumped up from my seat, not caring if it was dangerous or not, and sat on Cole's lap kissing him to death. He wrapped his arms around my waist and chuckled.
"You deserve it princess." He said kissing my cheek.

...

We ended up being on the top of the Eiffel Tower. I was in love with how everything looked. I caught Cole watching me countless of times. He was smiling at me but something about his smile was very different.
"What?" I asked. He didn't say anything and smile didn't fade. We stared at each other for a few seconds. He took a deep breath and reached into the pocket in his jacket. He took out a small black box that made my heart beat fast and palms get sweaty.
"Scarlett Grey? So much has happened and yet our love survived through everything that had hit us in the passed. I'm asking you, my Princess, the love of my life, will you marry me?" He asked.
"Yes!" I screamed.
"Yes?" He asked surprised.
"Yes, a million times yes!" I jumped into his arms. He stood up and spun me around, holding me tight.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too." He whispered.
"That's the first time you said that to me." I said.
"I wanted to save it for this moment." He said kissing my temple. "I'll never stop loving you."
