Its that one of those days that Jungkook's always anxious about, your check up day.

Right now the two of you are sitting in Lisa's office, waiting for her to get everything ready for your scanning. You're scared and Jungkook notices, so he takes your hand in his and interlaces your fingers with his.

"Hey," he softly calls out for you, making you look at him. "Don't be scared, I'll be right here, okay?" He presses a gentle kiss on the back of your palm and you smile as your cheeks tint a very light shade of pink.

"Mr Jeon, its time for her to get the scanning." Lisa speaks, standing at the door of her office. Jungkook look's at her and nods, standing up while holding your hand making you stand up as well.

He holds you close as the two of you walk to the scanning room. Once you get there, the cold air of the room sends shivers down your spine.

"Y/n, come with me." Lisa speaks gently as a smile is on her lips, she reaches out a hand for you to take. You look up at Jungkook and he smiles, pressing a kiss on the top of your head that manages to calm you down.

You take Lisa's hand, letting go of Jungkook's as she leads you to the scanner. Inside the room was huge, and all white as the smell of medication lingered in the cold air. she leads you inside a glass cubicle inside the room, inside the scanning machine and a white table with a white pillow.

Making you lay down on the white table as she whispers words of comfort to you to make your anxiety lessen.

She backs away and the bed moves into the machine making you jump a bit when it suddenly moved, Jungkook standing outside the glass cubicle rubs his clammy hands together.

Whenever he brought you to your check ups it was usually Lisa prescribing medications to you, checking your heart beat, ect. But this? This scared him, probably more than it scared you.

The machine begins the scanning and Lisa is standing outside at a computer where a nurse is sitting as the observe the results.

The scanning was done, thankfully.

Now you sit next to Jungkook once again in Lisa's office as she reads over your results that's printed on a sheets of paper.

She sighs, shaking her head. This makes Jungkook scared, nervous as you're not paying attention as you're playing with Mr Boby.

"Mr Jeon, can we talk outside my office please." She requests, hinting that she needs to talk to him alone. He nods.

"Y/n, sit here and behave, okay?" He speaks to you, rubbing his thumb over the back of your hand. You mumble an okay as you nod.

Jungkook and Lisa step out of her office with your results in her hand.

"What's wrong?" He asks her, she shows him the results. A X-ray of your skull and your brain, but it has multiple red dots all over it.

"This is y/n's skull and her brain. You see those red dots?" She asks and he nods and he pays full attention at the X-ray.

"Those are the cells that are preventing Y/n from being normal," she explains. "In order for Y/n to be a normal person, these cells need to disappear. But of course, its not going to be done by magic."

Jungkook looks at her. "What are you trying to say?"

She sighs, a sad look on her face. "Operation, but its risky. "

"How risky?" He asks her, his voice fill with worry.

"She has a 30% chance of living." She answers, her voice is sad.

Jungkook's heart shattered into a million tiny pieces. He could lose you and that's something he doesn't ever want. He can't lose you, no.

"But there's also something else," she speaks again. "You see, if we don't conduct this operation then those cells are going to multiply and eat her brain, she'll die if the operation doesn't take place."

"But if the operation takes place then I could lose her as well." He speaks, swallowing the lump that formed in his throat. Lisa nods slowly.

Jungkook heavily sighs and presses a hand over his mouth. If the operation doesn't take place, then you'll die. But if the operation takes place you could die.

"I need to talk to my mother first." He finds it hard to speak.

Lisa nods understandingly. "Of course."

He's caught, he doesn't know what to do but he has to choose.

'I can't lose you, Y/n.'
