The alleyway was dark, you didn't like the dark. You never did. You wanted out but there was no out. There was nothing but dark.
Dark.
Dark.
Dark.

But then there was sharp pain. Like a slap. And a shove. Then there was yelling and your heart speeds up to 100 miles per hour. And you back away, screaming Joji, George, Joji, George...

Another shove. You were on the ground now. And hands were all over you. There was heavy breathing that wasn't yours right?

Joji, George, Joji, George!

He wasn't there, a screech was knocked from your mouth with a slap. A dark hand held you down, and your mouth was filled with a metallic taste and screams that were silenced away with a hand. You claw, push, and kick. Bad. Bad. Bad.

JOJI! GEORGE! JOJI! GEORGE!

Hands hold you down while the dark hurts you. The dark snarls something and you scream and twist. The dark is bearing down with ferocious words and slaps and punches. Hands continue to wander down your body even after the dark has hurt you again and again.

You hear your name from the dark. The dark is shaking you and you shout and scream. Claw, push and kick. JOJI! GEORGE! JOJI! GEORG-

"Hey! Hey!" You spring to life, letting out a garbled screech and pushing yourself farther away from the voice.

Your body shakes, your mind registers that you are in a bedroom, specifically Joji's.
Joji!

You look and see Joji sitting up in your shared bed and his hands are held out to show he means no harm.

"Baby, it's okay, I'm right here. Nothing bad is gonna happen when I'm right here. Nothing at all." Joji swears. You breathe and crawl back to your spot. Your heart still hammers and there's a boulder in your throat. Your eyes sting, and you cry. Joji hugs you to his chest, but the tears don't stop, they can't.

You let out what happened in your nightmare. Joji listens attentively.

"I'm here, I'll make sure it never happens again. I love you so so much." He vows, pressing light kisses to the top of your head while you openly sob. Hugging him close to you as well. Repeating that he loves you over and over again.

Joji hates this, your body shaking, you're sobbing and terrified. He can't stand this. He hugs you close, kisses your head and strokes your hair till he feels you stop shaking. He feels your chest rise slowly and hears you taking deep breaths. But your body is tense still.

That worries him. You're his girlfriend who cares so deeply for. So he decides something.

You wake up, feelings arms wrapped around you, memories from your nightmare come back. You're prepared to leap up and fight back but you recognize who these arms belong too. You let out a sigh of pure relief. You look up to see Joji staring at the door.

"Hey baby." You say, Joji turns his head towards you and kisses your head.

"Morning love." He smiles and you smile back. You suddenly study his features more. His eyes seem to droop and he looks extremely tired. You sit up and run your hand through his hair.

"You look like you didn't sleep at all last night, I'm so sorry if I kept you up-." Joji shakes his head, gently drawing circles on your hands.

"I wanted to make sure nothing happened. I wanted you to feel safe." Joji smiles, leaning against your touch.

You look to the door and back to him, "Did you watch that door all night?" You ask him, he nods. You feel happiness bloom in your chest. And you hug Joji so tight. He smiles and hugs you back.

"I love you so much." You say snuggling closer to him.

"I love you more." He replies with a smile. You had never felt more safe than in his arms.
