Chapter 12

Chris (Freckles):

New Years came and past. We didn’t celebrate it all because Mari felt should couldn’t deal with it. She spent the past day in bed and didn’t leave. She didn’t eat, she just stayed in bed all day and slept. It was a couple of days after New Years and she managed to get out of bed. I saw her get in the shower and get ready. I told her that I wanted to take her out since she hasn’t left the bed in days.

She got out of the shower and walked into the bedroom. The fresh towel draped around her body and beams of water coming down her legs and arms. I continue to just look at her. She was the sexiest thing in the world to me and I still couldn’t take my eyes off of her.

“What you looking at Freckles?” She asked sarcastically. I laughed and gave her a sexy smirk. She bit her lip and gave me a smirk back. “Let me get ready babe.” She said. I laughed and walked out the room.

I walked into the kitchen to see Tyga smoking a blunt. I sat down at the island next to him giving him dap. He passed me the blunt and I took my hit. 

“Where’s Mel?” I asked passing him back the blunt. He took a hit.

“Classes today.” He said. “Why doesn’t Mari go to school?” He asked me. I really didn’t know the question to that. I knew she had her high school diploma. I guess it was because she started dealing, I assumed.

“I mean I don’t know. I’ll ask her about it. Probably the same reason we ain’t in school.” I told Tyga shrugging it off. He passed me back the blunt. Mari walked into the kitchen. She had on ripped skinny jeans, red and navy plaid button up shirt and red converses. Her hair was out and she had her bangs just above her eyes. Not too much make-up on, like I like it. 

“What up niggas?” She asked. I passed her the blunt and she took a couple of hits passing it back to Tyga. She came in-between my legs and kissed me on the lips. Her lip gloss was on my lips so I wiped it off. She laughed. “So where you taking me?” She asked.

“It’s surprise.” I told her chuckling. She hated surprises. She was so impatient, I knew it would piss her off but I wasn’t going to tell her. She pouted and frowned at me. I just smiled back at her. “I ain’t telling you Mari.” I laughed. She stormed off to the fridge. “Nahh you can’t eat, we bout to leave.” I said grabbing my car keys.

I knew Amarie didn’t like fancy shit. She wasn’t into that. Her favorite place to eat was TGIF so I took her there. It wasn’t that expensive but I wanted to do everything that she liked. I than took her to target practice. Ever since I gave her the gun, we have been practicing. She actually been doing really good and she enjoyed the pratices. I took her to a shooting range. By night fall I took her to the swan pond. We sat on a bench. She laid her head on my shoulder and I tilted my head on hers. 

“Today was fun babe.” She said. I smiled. “Seriously, all the stuff you did for me today. I’m glad you didn’t go all out, I wouldn’t have liked it.”

“That’s why I didn’t.” I chuckled. “I’m glad that you enjoyed it though.” I looked up in the sky. The moon was bright, shining over the pond. I looked at her, I already knew she was admiring it. I kissed her on the forehead. She sat up and positioned herself sitting Indian style on the bench. I threw my legs over the bench since it didn’t have a backrest and I scooted closer to her. Watching her, watch the moon. This would be the perfect opportunity.

I cleared my throat, why was I so nervous? “Uhmmm .. Babe …” She looked at me quickly and noticed my face was flustered. I was seriously nervous about this. She gave me a confused face. “I have something for you.” I slowly pulled the jewelry box out of my pocket. She started to look nervous, her eyes wide.
