Chapter 26

Amarie:

I heard light sobbing by side. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around this strange room. My eyes slowly danced around the room trying to figure out where I was. I was laying in a hospital bed. I was in the hospital, what the fuck happened? I slowly turned my head to the right. I noticed someone sitting in a chair next to my bed, quite close to my bed. I noticed those tattooed arms and hands. His fist were balled into his faces, elbows resting on his thighs. My eyes weren’t fully open but I looked at him. What was going on?

He looked at up at me slowly. His eyes and face was red. It looked like he had been crying. I was still confused, the last thing I remember was … Hennessey telling me that she fucked Chris. I was filled with rage. I didn’t want anything to do with him. He watched me closely as I tried to get up. I didn’t say it but I didn’t want to be near him, no where near him. 

“Babe you can’t get up, you aren’t in the right condition to get up …” He said. I ignored him and still tried to get up. At this point he was non-existing to me. I didn’t want anything to do with him. I sat up in pain. Damn did I just lose the first fight in my life? I looked at my arms, I had no bruises but only on my knuckles. I looked at the IV in my arm for a few minutes. I than ripped them out. “Babe please, what are you doing?” Chris asked, I continued to ignore him. I slowly got out of the bed, my stomach was in so much pain. I limped to the door with Chris walking behind me trying to figure out what I was doing. I saw the nurses look over at me and come towards me.

“Miss, we really need you to stay in bed. You need some rest.” One of the nurses said approaching me. I ignored her too, trying to go around her. I just wanted to leave and go home. “Please Miss, please go lay back down.” She said blocking the door so that I couldn’t move around her. I was too weak to fight back so I let her help me back in the hospital bed and Chris sat back down next to me. The nurse put the IV back in my arm and I laid down and put the cover over my whole body. I felt like dying, I didn’t want Chris near me. It was making me even more mad. I felt so much hate but I knew I could never hate him. I wanted too though.

“Just leave.” I said to Chris quietly. He looked at me. I was serious why was he just sitting there. “Chris I said leave ..” I repeated. He shook his head no and leaned back in the chair. “FUCKING LEAVE CHRIS. YOU DISGUST ME, GET THE FUCK OUT.” I said screaming at the top of my lungs. The tears fled down my eyes and they started to burn because I tried to hold them back. He continued to sit there, I knew he wasn’t going to leave. I just laid there. Balling my eyes out, I couldn’t deal with this. How could Chris cheat on me? I was even more mad about the fact that it was Hennessey. How could he feed into her. Let her ruin something good. I guess guys don’t really think. Chris sure as hell didn’t.

I heard someone coming into the room. I just stayed under the covers, I didn’t want to be bother. They were messing with some machines and tables and other things. I just sat there thinking. Thinking about why he would hurt me like this, do me like this. Why wasn’t he with her. Where ever she was. I remembered I grabbing a knife and going for her and that is about it. I don’t remember cutting her with it. Than again I did blackout.

“Is she awake?” Someone asked Chris. I assumed he nodded yes because the doctor continued. “Miss can I talk to you for a minute.” The doctor said. I hesitated to pull the covers down but I finally brought myself to pull them down. I rolled over and looked at the doctor. He held a clipboard and he seemed to be reviewing something. “Well it looks like you were pregnant but unfortunately we couldn’t save it. I’m sorry miss.” The doctor said sympathetically.

“What?” I asked confused. Chris bowed his head down. I was pregnant. “What are you taking about?” I asked quickly sitting up.

“I’m sorry miss, other than that you are okay. We just need to run a few procedures and you can be out by the end of the week. I’m really sorry about your lost.” He said.
