Eh, nothing really to say, sooo, enjoy the chapter!

"I used to be a writer like you, then I took a disclaimer to the knee."

I do not, in any way, own League of Legends or any resources that might make an appearance here. If I did, I would've eaten my own disclaimers.

I mean what?

(Letholdus) was surprised and confused at the same time. Irelia, the resistance leader of all people is asking him to tell her about his people as well as himself. For what reason, though?

(Anondric): "And... you are asking me this because...?" He says to her, having a hint or two about why would she.

Irelia: "I don't know. I suppose I felt inclined to understand you and your people more, especially since you claim to have detached from the empire you once served." She answers. (Anondric) nods as he looks back at the lake.

(Anondric): "Well, which ones do you want to know?" He asks.

Irelia: "How about your men, the Accord?" She asks.

(Anondric): "Ah, my own men. We are a proud bunch. We were the elites of the Imperial Navy, and were the first to battle and the last to retreat, and we enjoyed that status." He answers.

Irelia: "It sounds quite a suicidal occupation. Are you not... you know, afraid of dying?" She inquires.

(Anondric): "No, because death is inevitable. Me and the marines taught ourselves to enjoy war in any way we can. Being a warrior takes its toll on one's body as we are not immortal. We might as well live our lives to the fullest."

Irelia: "I can understand that, but are you not going to be able to feel pity for those who you kill, and possibly the families that they may leave behind?"

(Anondric): "Do you want me to lie?" He asks her. Irelia was about to reply but she found no answer that she can respond with and backed down. "To answer your question, no. I do not." He answers bluntly.

Irelia: "But why? You have broken who knows how many families because of killing. How can you not feel remorse?"

(Anondric): "Remember, Irelia: I came from a continent and a nation where death is a sport. There is no way you can fully understand my people. In Noxus, if you want to advance to a higher position, you practically have to learn to kill. Not many in Runeterra understands that. And besides, they should've known what they signed up for." He responds to her in a bit more detail. There was a moment of silence between them as the leaves rustled from the winds.

Irelia couldn't fully accept the Noxian's words, but she is beginning to understand why they are acting the way they are now. An empire with an environment that revolves around ambitions and to an extent, death. She couldn't imagine herself living in such conditions where here in her homeland, she was born in an era of peace that had been broken ever since Noxus invaded nearly a decade ago.

They both allowed silence to remain between them, before the woman speaks again.

Irelia: "I see. But, I suppose I can understand more of you at the very least?" She asks him. (Anondric) looks at her in curiosity before responding.

(Anondric): "I suppose you can."

For what seemed like hours, the Ionian woman and the Noxian man conversed like acquaintances or perhaps friends, talking about their past, and sharing thoughts and ideas. They did so openly to each other, and it was the first time in a long time for both of them.
