Part 34

The Iyyer-Bhalla families decided to conduct the wedding a week later. The week was full of enthusiasm, liveliness, and lots of joy, not to forget, Raman-Ishita's romance. On the sangeet day, Raman bared his feelings for Ishita in front of everyone. They danced on a romantic number.

On the Mehendi day-
All the ladies were srurounding Ishita and the mehendi wali was drawing mehendi. Raman came around.

Mihika: Jeeju, waise toh yeh function 'only for ladies ' hain, but ab aap ko Akka ke bina raha nahi jaata, so it's okay.

Raman and Ishita blushed heavily.

Bala: Are bhai, Raman yahan aaya hain apni dulhan ke haathon par apna naam likhna.

Vandu: Woh thehra itna romantic aur ek tum jo bas uske saath-saath aa gaye.

All laughed.

Raman took the cone from the mehendiwali and sat next to Ishita and begins with his drawing.

I: (teasingly) Aap ki drawing itni kharab hain ki iss mehendi mein aapko apna naam nahi mujhe aap ka naam dhoondhna padega.

R: (laughs) Are Ishita, waise bhi toh ab jab main hi naam likh raha hoon toh dhoondhu kya.

I: That's not fair. Aapko apna naam dhoondhna chahiye.

R: (looking into her eyes) Wo toh maine dhoondh liya. Tumhari aankho mein, tumhare dil mein, tumhare rooh mein.

I: Agar mera hone wala pati itna romantic hoga, toh main toh phir aap par dil haar jaungi.

Unaware of the whole family's presence, they hugged each other. Seeing that Romi whistled. Both Raman, Ishita shied and parted with their cheeks red.

-ON THE WEDDING DAY

Raman-Ishita were dressed in beautiful Indian outfits. They took the pheras promising each other togetherness forever. They sought their elder's blessings. Toshiji did Ishita's gruhpravesh ceremony. All of them had dinner together.

-DURING DINNER

Raman's phone rang.

R: Hello, what! Okay fine. Main aur meri biwi dono aayenge.

Toshiji: Kya hua puttar?

R: Maa, papa, actually all of you, darasal mujhe aur Ishita ko aaj raat hi Goa jana padega. (eyeing Ishita) Ek bohot important deal hain jiske liye main bohot dino se mehnat kar raha tha. Aaj finally uska response aaya hain. (To everyone) So, uske liye humein jana hi padega. (Again to Ishita) Agar yeh deal seal hoti hain toh mujhse jyada khush iss duniya aur koi nahi hoga. Ishita, chalein?

I: Yaa, okay. Mummyji, Papaji, aap log Ruhi-Adi ka dhyaan rakhna please. Unki school hain toh unhe saath leke nahi jaa sakte.

T: Haan beta, tu fikar na kar.

-IN ISHRA BEDROOM

R: Ishita, sorry yaar, aise urgently...

I: Are kya sorry Raman. Office ka kaam hain. In fact, thank you ki aapne ujhe apne saath le jaane ka socha.

R: (placing her hand on his heart) Dil dhadkan ke bina kahi ja sakta hain kya?

I: Awww! I am melting mere Raavan Kumar! (kissing his cheeks) I love you!

R: I love you too yaar. But humari suhagraat nahi ho payegi uska kya?

I: (laughing) Raman... aap bhi na... Waise bhi yeh kaunsi humari pehli suhaagraat hain.

R: Lekin phir bhi. Everything is new and first with this fresh start, right?

I: Yes, of course. Lekin suhagraat ke liye toh humne pehle bhi kitna intezaar kiya hain. Iss baar bhi thoda kar lenge.

R: Uhhh!!!

I: But iss baar pichhli bar se bohot kam hoga, I promise.

R: Ohho! Jhansi ki rani bani Raavan Kumar ki deewani!

I: Ab kya karoon? Pyaar jo ho gaya! Shaadi bhi kar li!

R: Chal, ab romance baad mein karte hain. Packing ho gayi?

I: Yes, almost. Kab nikalna hain?

R: Ek ghante mein.

I: Okay!
