No One's POV:
Chaos.
That's what the Loud house looked at only eight in the morning. Every high schooler was frantically getting ready for the night, and with only one bathroom, tensions were high.
"Leni! Literally hurry up!" Screamed Lori as she pounded on the door.
"Just a minute! I can't find the mirror again," Leni replied not realizing she needed to shut the medicine cabinet to use the mirror.
Lori continued to scream at Leni while Luna and Luan were starting to get ready in their own room. Luna stared at herself in the mirror and sighed.
"What's wrong, sis?" Luan asked.
"Oh nothing, dude. I'm just totally nervous for the dance tonight. I want everything to be perfect for Sam."
"Well at least you know how to dance. Or maybe you do-si-DON'T! Ha! Get it?" Luan chuckled.
Luna rolled her eyes and decided to go ask Lori and Leni for help. She stepped outside the room and saw some of the younger siblings playing with one another. Luna ducked just in time to avoid a hockey puck from hitting her eye.
Lola sped past her on her pink car as Lana wiped off the grease from her hand.
"Be careful, Lola. I just changed the oil and replaced the belt on that baby so she should be working now," Lana said.
Luna walked over to Lori and tapped her on the shoulder. "Uhh, dude, could I talk to you about something?"
"What's up, Luna?" Lori said not looking up from her phone.
"Uh, could we talk in private, brah?" Luna asked.
"No! I am totally not losing my place in line!"
Luna sighed and started to walk away when Lori grabbed her. "Just messing with you," she said.
Luna sat on Leni's bed and avoided eye contact with Lori. She didn't know what she was going to say, but she knew that she never felt like this before. Not even performing at a sold out performance.
"Dude, my heart is racing and nothing looks right on me. I want this night to be perfect for Sam," Luna muttered.
"You know, I bet Sam feels the same way. Just relax. Everything is going to be awesome! Let me finish getting ready and then Leni and I can help you!" Lori said while walking over to hug Luna.
"Thanks, Lori."
Hours had passed, and soon the girls dates would be arriving any minute to pick them up. Luna looked at herself one last time before heading down the stairs. The purple dress that Lori helped pick out matched her heels. She loved the look. Her whole family stared in awe at the rocker.
The girls all squealed and ran to hug her. "Sam is going to be starstruck when she sees you!" Lori said. All the other girls nodded in agreement.
All of a sudden, someone started knocking at the front door. Rita opened the door and Sam stood on the porch with some roses in her hand. She turned her eyes towards Luna and turned a deep crimson color. "Lunes...you look...amazing," Sam barely got out as she tried to not stare at her.
"You too, dude," Luna replied as she glanced up and down at the blonde. Sam wore a light blue dress with white shoes. Her hair was down like usual.
"I brought you these," Sam said handing over the flowers and starting to notice that the Loud family had all their eyes on her. "Hey, everyone," Sam said to the others.
"Sam!" Lynn yelled as she charged towards the girl. Sam moved out of the way just before Lynn crashed into her.
"Sorry, LJ. I don't need any bruises before the dance, but after the dance, I'm taking you down!" Sam exclaimed.
Lynn laughed and returned to her normal spot on the couch. Rita pulled out her camera and pushed the young couple together. "Oh you guys look so cute!" Rita said.
Sam and Luna both blushed. Sam wrapped her arms around Luna and smiled. Luna leaned in closer to Sam.
"She smells so good," Luna thought to herself.
After about hundred pictures. Sam grabbed Luna's hand and and walked towards the car. She helped Luna in, and then found her way to the driver's side.
"You look beautiful, Lunes," Sam said which caused Luna to blush.
"Me? Dude, you should look at yourself. I'm one lucky chick," Luna replied.
Sam turned the car down the road when all of a sudden a loud noise came from the engine. Sam turned off the car and told Luna to get out of the car. Sam popped the hood and saw smoke coming out from the engine.
"This isn't good," Sam said. She went to the trunk of her car and pulled out a toolbox. "I'm so sorry, Lunes. Hopefully I can fix this super quick."
Luna leaned against the car and smiled as Sam worked on the car. Sam felt awful. Her stupid car had to break down again and now they were going to be late to the dance. More smoke came from the engine and Sam wiped her face. Luna started to laugh when she saw grease on Sam's face.
Luna walked over to Sam and wiped off her face for her. "Thanks, Lunes," Sam said.
Sam sighed and leaned against the car. There was no way she was going to be able to fix it in time and she knew it would take at least two hours for a truck to get to them.
"Lunes, I'm so sorry. I ruined this night for us. I can't leave my car here by itself and my parents are out of town for Simon's baseball game."
Luna grabbed Sam's hand and stared at her. "You didn't ruin anything, Sam. As long as you're here with me, I'm happy, dude," Luna replied.
Sam kissed Luna and smiled. "Stay right here," Sam told her. Sam grabbed her phone and turned on some music. "If we can't go to the dance, we can bring the dance to us," Sam whispered.
Sam placed her hands on Luna's hips as Luna wrapped her arms around Sam's neck. They swayed softly to the music as Luna nuzzled closer to Sam. Neither of them said a word as Sam kissed Luna's forehead.
"Best night ever," Sam whispered.
"Best girlfriend ever," Luna replied as she kissed Sam again.
The young couple danced for another hour until the stars came out. Life was perfect and it was only going to get better for the two lovebirds.
