The whole mess of a love life started my junior year. The same year my parents were fighting. I was in class, the teacher doing his job that he was paid to do. I never really liked high school, people say that it's one of your golden years. Learning to drive, Homecoming, Prom, and a whole bunch of extra curricular stuff that was supposedly fun.
All I cared about was getting through high school and into collage. That's when I got to choose what I wanted to learn about. But this whole high school collage thing isn't important right now. Anyways I was listening to my teacher when I got called out of class by one of the teachers. I was excused and walked out of the classroom trying my hardest to not look like I'm in big trouble or something.
Which I wasn't, I was a good, straight forward girl in high school. But the kids there, whenever a kid got called out it was expected to be a bad thing. Anyways, off subject again. The teacher and I stood outside the classroom. "Yes, Mrs. Link?" I asked. "Ella, about newspaper. Do you think you can get more journalists?" I tried not to look annoyed.
Mrs. Link always wanted me to try and get more journalists. When I was as far popular as you can get. Even with being so closely related to one of the most popular kids at school. "I'll try." I tried not to look angry or annoyed. I mean, she just wanted more reporters. There were only four reporters on newspaper.
"Thank you Ella. You can go." I just went back to class. Everyone was looking at me, with their teenage flare. Once in a while I saw a teen with face piercings or tattoos. Not that it was bad, just it wasn't my style. I was more of a dorky look. Casual tom boy clothes. Nothing girly, didn't care what I wore. Or how I looked.
With nerd glasses to top it all off. After school I went into the newspaper room. "Hey Ella!" Kendal greeted. "Hey Kendal." Kendal was a reporter, one of the four members. She was a very nice girl, I never found out what happened to her after high school though. I went over to one of the small desks scattered around the room.
The newspaper room was just a classroom with at least ten desks. The other member was another girl whose name was Selina. She was a good teen too. She never went to outrageous parties. She never got in trouble. But the fourth was a boy, his name was Zachary. Or Zack. He always got in trouble, and always went to parties. We hardly ever saw him for newspaper.
"Hey Ella! How's your article going?" Selina asked. "Oh, it's going fine. How is the yearbook going?" She kind of blushed at the fact I asked about it. "It's going great." She said slyly. "Why are you blushing?" She realized that se was blushing and her hot red cheeks faded. "Felix is helping me, it's going along great though. He has some awesome ideas for it too." I agreed. Felix was Selina's boyfriend throughout high school.
They were basically high school sweet hearts. They ended up living happily together married I think. I sat down at my desk. I guess I have made some really nice friends since I've joined. They are all pretty good too. I started to write my article about Prom and how it's going to be fun. I wasn't planning on going though, I didn't have a date.
After school I just did my homework and a stupid project for science. Then afterwards I continued writing my article. I stayed up until 1:00 in the morning doing my project and science. I was really drowsy the next day, I was like a zombie roaming the halls. Just a body there. Doing one thing only, learn.
